Last Friday, my family and I had the pleasure of visiting The Strand for their exciting Bingo Night, and what a delightful experience it was! From the moment we stepped in, we were enchanted by the warm and chic ambiance of this cozy restaurant. Live plants, pastel decor, and a charming Caribbean theme created a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. And the best part? Upcoming outdoor seating with a swing—making me eager to return in the winter to savor the scenic palm view.
The staff at The Strand were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The owners/partners were also present and added a personal touch to the evening, ensuring every guest had an excellent experience.
Now, let's talk about the food and drinks—the real stars of the night! The extensive menu offered a diverse selection, leaving us spoiled for choice. A few highlights that stole our hearts were:
1. Mango Margarita: This sweet and spicy concoction took me back to the flavors of Sri Lanka. Crafted with finesse, the mojito tantalized every taste bud and left us craving more.
2. Crispy Calamari: A delightful twist on the classic calamari, The Strand's version amazed us. The calamari was presented in flat, beaten shapes—crisp and mouthwatering. Paired with the delectable black garlic dip, it was a match made in culinary heaven.
3. Hand-Cut Herbed Fries: The fries at The Strand were nothing short of a revelation! Instead of the usual frozen variety, they surprised us with long hand-cut potatoes, skin on for that extra fiber, and baked to perfection with aromatic herbs. A fantastic and healthy snack to complement our drinks.
