Even though located in the lobby of Al Jaddaf Rotana hotel, The Tea Room somehow feels very cozy. I've been there about 4 times already, and each time spent hours there just talking to friends. Mostly visited just for a tea / coffee, on one visit we did try the High Tea.
The regular High Tea is priced at AED 80 per person, which I tried. They also have an Arabesque option.
You get a lovely assortment of sandwiches, savouries, chocolates & pastries; along with scones with some clotted cream and jam.
The sandwiches & chocolates were very good. But let's be honest, the real reason I go to an Afternoon Tea are the scones ???? And unfortunately these ones here did not make the cut! ???? So if like me, it's scones you're after, I do not recommend here.
I do though recommend their tea / coffee selection, and their hot chocolate is pretty good too. The chocolate milkshake on the other hand could use a lot of improvement.
