Avoid this dishonest and unethical company at all cost! They do their best to make your trip highly unpleasant.

1. During car pick-up, the counter staff told me there is no surcharge if I return to a different location. However when I returned it, they charged me additional 105 AED.

2. The used child safety seat was piled up at a corner of the car park. There seems no proper cleaning and maintenance at all. The quality of the safety seat sucks. They simply don't care about children's well-being.

3. The guy collected my car said the scratches on the tyre can be covered by insurance. He didn't mention at all the need of a police report. When police came, they were surprised that I called them only for such a small scratch and refused to issue a report because the car was already returned to the company.

4. To repair the tyre, the company charged me 955 AED. The tyre brand is Kumho, one of the cheapest in the market. This is definitely an overcharge. The full damage insurance I bought was of no use at all. Why should I buy it at 500 AED then? Ridiculous.

I will never rent from Thrifty again. Maybe they are now celebrating for scamming 1000+ AED from me, but they don't know I have cancelled my 12000+ AED future bookings with them. I wish them good luck and let's see for how long such unethical business model can survive.

Thrifty at DXB were super helpful. Kathleen at Thrifty UAE handled my booking and was an absolute superstar!!!
The team were quick to sort my booking and took me to the car. Everyone was super polite and friendly, offering water and asking how the flight was etc.

Avoid this company at all costs. I rented a car from them from them for 2 weeks recently in July. I got a traffic fine which I accept full responsibility. They were originally going to charge me about 1000 aed. After returning the vehicle, the fine became my entire 3000 aed deposit. Upon looking at the Dubai Police traffic fines website, my fee was still 1000 aed. They were trying to charge me 3x the amount. I already filed a complaint with the Ministry of Economy in the UAE. I wonder how many tourists they have scamed and gotten away with it.

I arrived in dubai on 6th Nov22 and had no prior booking, I went to different car rental representatives all refused to rent me car without prior booking . Finally I reached at Thrifty Car Rental at terminal 3 parking area where Mr Yaheed gave us warm welcome he gave full attention to us he is such a highly professional ans pleasant person. They have a big fleet of new cars with a lot of variety I opted for sunny nissan brand new 2022 model. After all necessary paper work, inspection of vehicle and helding 1000aed on my credit card , I left for Khorfakan then after 2 days I returned to Sarjah where I handed over the car to them after inspection. So it was an excellent experience and I will recommend Thrifty Car Rental to all my friends after 2 weeks the amount was automatically reversed which was held on my card as a gaurantee for in case of any damage. I appreciate their fair dealing and professionalism.

I recently hired a blue Mazda CX-5 from Thrifty Dubai Airport. The car was perfect. Would highly recommend Thrifty. But what was best was the absolutely fantastic service from Cherry & Gerose in the office and in the admin support and also Shabeer and Mustafa in the pick up and drop area. Great job team. You are all fantastic people and should be proud of the quality of your service!

We had a great experience with reliable car rental! We were respectful with the car, cleaned it up a little before returning it with a full tank of gas, and were charged exactly the amount quoted on the reservation. I would definitely recommend.
