I was here for the business lunch and the place wasn't busy at all! In fact we were the only people in the restaurant. It was 4 course meal and a good value for money. Though I opted for the sushi menu I did not enjoy the main course much, but the starters and desserts were worth it. If I go back, I would love to try the Asian menu as they had only two options.

Recently went for a sushi making class for my friends birthday at Wakame. It was a private class with their sushi chef who taught us how to make 3 different styles of sushi. Props to the chef for his patience and guidance as none of us were experts but the sushi tasted great even if we were beginners. Would definitely recommend this activity for those wanting to learn how to make their own sushi at home. They offer 2 hours free valet parking but then it’s chargeable after that. Nice big restaurant but pretty quiet on the afternoon that we visited. Perhaps because it was between prime hours for lunch & dinner.

After several weeks of looking for a private room to hold a birthday celebration I found Wakame. The staff were immediately welcoming and extremely helpful. I want to especially thank Dino for organising everything and making sure the evening went smoothly. The staff in the restaurant were also very good.

The food was delicious! We had the set menu which had good variety, portion size and flavour.

Finally the setting was lovely and great for taking photos. I would definitely recommend Wakame to anyone especially for special occasions. Five stars!!!

I felt like having vegan maki and I do not recall eating anything even close to this. Service is also professional. I have come here other times and it is always a surprise, but the vegan plates are just terrific because there is creativity and it is not just how it looks like, you feel it when eating.

I had an interview at 48 Burj Gate Building in Downtown Dubai just beside Burj Khalifa. It’s already past 3pm and I didn’t eat breakfast or lunch. So, after my interview I was looking for a good place to eat. I saw Sofitel and found Wakame Asian restaurant. I gave it a try though I feel like I was totally dating myself coz the price is quite expensive. Anyway, everything that I eat is extremely good specially the mochi ice cream! I end up paying AED 292 but told myself sometimes “I can buy myself flowers” – Miley Cyrus
In addition to my experience, the ambiance is cozy and classy. Beautiful place and very good service. I would definitely come back when I have budget. Hehe! Ohh and I’d like to also share the good news that I was hired, making this dining experience extra special and unforgettable.

I was here for the Taste of Sri Lanka, they have only from February 23-25 2023, I must say it was an amazing experience, something unique, The best fusion food fine dining experience of Sri Lankan flavors I ever had. We even celebrated my sister in law’s birthday here and staff are very friendly & cheerful.

I had a phenomenal dinning experience here.

Tried some of the Special Menu that Wakame Dubai has created using fresh and local produce from the Waterfront Market.

Top notch food and atmosphere. The Lobster is to die for. It was fire ????????.

A big shout out to the manager Mr. Hitesh Shetty and our waiters, service we received was so amazing. They made us feel welcomed. Thank you for the giving us an amazing experience. ????????????????

Definitely a 5️⃣???? rating.

it’s not my first time at Wakame and definitely not my last. It is the perfect, fine dining place to go. It’s usually not that packed and you would get your money worth considering it’s a fine dining. It is a Japanese cuisine so you with expect some great sushi. The carpaccio is amazing. Specially the tuna. Also, they take discount cards which really adds up to the experience. Discounted food is the best.
