Beside the fact that it is one of the most iconic places of Dubai, the offices are absolutely amazing and comfy. In particular the Wave Business Center has a fantastic management team who always go the extra mile. Probably our first choice for office in Dubai.

The path to the monument is a bit stony but easy to navigate, it’s far enough from the road to hear only birds singing, had a meander around the monument went further down towards the cliff edge to be met with an amazing view, I’ve no idea why people are miffed there’s nothing else other than a monument and stone walls, it’s a nice stretch for the legs.
The steep climb back up was tough…. I don’t regret a thing!

I pulled in here purely by chance and ended up reading the signs and walking the path down to the memorial and old ruins. It was a lovely walk, well worth stopping for half hour, with beautiful views across the land and out to the ocean. The car park was free and it would be good for a solo traveller or a family.

Interesting because it's historical and important in relation to The Highland Clearances, but I was honestly expecting a little bit more; perhaps some exposed cobble paths, a little bit more of the buildings. Quite disappointed on that front.

Beautiful and tragic at the same time this is a great breather for anyone wanting abit of a break from the car.

Wether you can visually see or imagine what it was just over 100 years ago it is still rather impressive to see what we have achieved and what was achieved.

Not alot to see, some ruins and a monument. Feels very remote, must have been strange being moved here during the clearances.

It was very wet and Muddy when we visited and slippery underfoot. However we made it down to the memorial to the people who were cleared out of the glens in the late 1800’s to make way for sheep and cattle. The people lived a hard life, with their homes clinging to the side of the cliff and having to turn their hand to fishing. The last villagers left in the early 1900’s and the ruined cottages invoke the sadness of their plight. Worth the 1/4 mile walk from the car park

There's no escaping the sense of bleak isolation on the short trek (1km?) from the car-park to the site of the former village of Badbea.

Even on a day when the rain isn't sheeting down, the place has, in spring at least, a damp mournfulness that makes you realise how desperate the villagers must have been after being forced from their inland crofts to make way for sheep.

The forms of tiny dwellings can just about be made out in the piles of stones lying around - everything bar the memorial cairn is in ruin.

While the path here from the car-park is good, it would be advisable to have a good pair of shoes on, especially in wet weather.

Only 3* as, like the village before it, the signage is decaying and needs replacing with something more weather tolerant. The memorial cairn is badly in need of re-lettering too.

Totally unsuitable for buggies or wheelchairs

Well marked path to the monument...not many ruins to see but worth the walk
