Fantastic reserve. Little gift shop with snacks and a hot drink machine. Very friendly, helpful staff. And we got a really good view of two bitterns!

After too many years of not visiting Far Ings I made the snap decision of heading there and how pleased I did . As I drove down the Visitor Centre drive a Marsh Harrier glided across in front of me to the Reed beds . During the course of the morning I observed a pair of Goldeneye ducks busily diving ,varied wildfowl , Reed buntings and two very friendly Robin's at close quarters . Briefly hearing a hidden Bittern boom was an added bonus .
The Visitor Centre located by the Humber bank path is open to All and a perfect stop for coffee and small gifts . It was manned by a friendly and knowledgeable female Trust staff member .
I recommend a visit and join the Lincs Wildlife Trust .

Short or long nature walks. Dogs not allowed as National Nature Reserve. Lots of dragonflies to see at the moment. Have given 4 as no cafe, but coffees and ice creams available at visitor centre. Also activities for children, dates on the website.

Great nature reserve with 5 hides, 2 carparks and a small shop. Paths are excellent and wheelchair friendly. Photographed Barn owl, bittern ,grey heron.

Calm & peaceful. Ideal place for a picnic with a walk thrown in. Along with a return leg along the Humber doesn't get better on a sunny day.

I paid a visit to Far Ings. It is a 15 minute walk from Barton Upon Humber Railway Station (2 hour frequency train service, so best to plan ahead) and enjoyed my visit. The visitor centre is ideal for visitors with facilities etc. once out on the Reserve, the paths are good, and hides and screens available as are facilities at Ness Farm. The only downside is that signage could be improved. States on website Way marked paths, but I relied on my map to help me find where I was going. Wonderful wildlife.

Our first visit and we were really impressed. Very friendly lady in the visitor centre. We had a lovely walk and a picnic on one of the many seats with a view of the Humber Bridge. Free parking is a bonus too. We will definitely return.
