After visiting the valley of flowers, I stopped by the fort in the village of Awhala. This Fort belonged to the 8 century BC. Renovated in recent times. Worth a visit. The caretaker's is only happy to show you around.

small but cute attraction
Awhala Fort is located in a valley surrounded by hills on all sides. Visitors can access all the levels of the refurbished fort.
The fort looks traditional and ancient even though it's heavily refurbished. There are a couple of artefacts like swords and guns displayed. However the view of the valley and the hills surrounding is fascinating. The nearby village is sleepy and has unpaved roads. Other than the small village and a couple of small farms, this place has probably not changed for the past 100 years. From the busy Kalba Rd, awhala Fort is a good detour towards the peace and tranquility of yestyears.✅❤️

A peaceful place surrounded by mountains. A small but beautiful fort and well maintained historical place.

A small but cute attraction, Ohala Fort is located in a valley surrounded by hills on all sides. Visitors can access all the levels of the refurbished fort. The fort looks traditional and ancient even though it's heavily refurbished. There are a couple of artefacts like swords and guns displayed. The stairs to reach the top floor is pretty steep and they don't have any railings. However the view of the valley and the hills surrounding is fascinating. The nearby village is sleepy and has unpaved roads. Other than the small village and a couple of small farms, this place has probably not changed for the past 100 years. From the busy Kalba highway, Ohala Fort is a good detour towards the peace and tranquility of yesteryears.

Disgusting car park plagued by drug users — needles all over. Company never deals with problems, customer service is abysmal

Broken machines that only take cash if they are working. Received a £100 fine for staying 6 minutes trying to pay.

A bit hidden away if you don't have Google maps, but only 2.50 for all day Saturday! 5 minute walk from The Firehouse music venue.
