Dove Dales walk is definitely worth a visit if in the area. The car park is charging £5 for 4 hours and would give you enough time to complete the return walk. Reasonable fitness for the walk is required as the path contains some climbs and steps crossing the water. Would recommend going early if you don't like crowds as this is a popular destination for day trips.

Worth the walk as you walk through scenic landscape which keep changing every few 100 meters. One moment, you would find yourself climbing rocky steps, the other l, walking along the riverside under the canopies. If you look closely, you may find fish on the river. Google the place and store offline map. There is no network coverage and you would miss the cave if you don’t know where it is.

Walking through the picturesque valley of dovedale is excellent. It's a very unique place with wildlife galore as well as the beauty of the cliffs and caves and the crystal clear waters of the river dove. Walking up to reynards cave is a bit steep and slippery, make sure you have suitable footwear if you are going to attempt it. Great place but can get busy. Free parking for national trust members.

Nice walk along the river to get to Reynard's Cave with a bit up and down walk.Would suggest when good weather for families picnic cos is just nice place.then you need to go pretty rocky steepy to reach Cave

Absolutely fascinating place to have a good mooch around. Starts off at Dovedale Stepping Stones where it can get rather busy. Follow a moderately hard track along the banks of the river and up through the hills you get to a few sets of caves. Reynards Cave, Reynards Kitchen and Dove Holes. There is also a huge wonderful piece of fossilised rock protruding out of the river bank called Ilam rock, next to that is a very spooky but amazing cave underneath the rocks of Pickering Tor.

You'll miss it if tou don't know where it is. Google it beforehand. A bit of a scramble up off the main path. There's a more interesting cave to the left of the main one...take a torch to fully appreciate it.

66yrs young and nearly made it to the cave well worth the height i got to. rocks are very slippery even when not wet so be careful if you give it a go

Fantastic place to visit including the walk in. You access through North (free car park and no amenities) or South (charged car park with lots of tourists). The walk in is via valley with a stream cutting through it. There are multiple caves on your way, including this one. If you are interested in climbing, there are few routes bolted here between 6a and 8a. There are two further caves above the arch with a walk through I believe. Explore and enjoy the park!
