Between two cruises our Princess ship docked at this cruise terminal. We decided to walk into town. Distance above one mile to Ikea and large mall. Found a lack of signage to the port exit for walkers. Mall had excellent food choices and a wonderful display worth seeing.

Oh boy noise noise noise. Starting our trip on QV we arrived at 12 to board. An efficient system allowing for our taxi to drop us witj strides of the arrivals. Our luggage whisked away by a porter into the loafing area and we were in. Swift friendky booking in fifteen minute seated wait until we were called to go through customs and board the ship. Great views from our balcony looking out over arrivals and coaches dropping off guests.

The Queen Elizabeth ll cruise terminal is pretty good and efficient. The process with luggages, check in, transportation and logistics is very good. The organization of the port was great and I would like to recommend.????????

Before leaving for the scheduled 14 days cruise across the English sea to Lisbon, Portugal. I was given an opportunity to have a look around the ship on the Sky Princess that was docked at Queen Elizabeth II port in Southampton for around 4 months.

The cruise ship was massive and beautiful. It had 17 decks with various actives:
Deck 16 - Swimming pool and all the food area. Like they had an international food that served Indian, British, Chinese occasionally Japanese cuisines and more. (In my opinion the food was amazing). And more deck (For more information please do message)

However this review is more about the terminal itself. Sorry unfortunately I forget pictures of terminal but I can explain.

The enterance has 2 ways:
1. For the couch's, trucks and car parks
2. The drop off, pick ups, arrival and departure

1. This is where the company couchs drops off passages, as well as this is where all the food & other supplies go through and there is an inforstruckture for cars to park as well.
Finally before entering the terminal (if you are interested) there are many unique looking construction vehicles parked after the enterance with tug boats as well and a 6 or 8 way fuel storages (I think). There is also a rail system there but I am not sure if it is operational or not.
2. The drop off is simple you can be dropped off by 4 ways: Car, couch (company couch's or private routed couchs), taxi (Uber or aquacars) or walking. The inside look like a warehouse like building. This also applies for pick ups.

When departuring you are introduced to an airport style method of route (passport & ticket check, security check for baggage & you, ALL METAL IN THE TRAY, and then directly on the ship). However if you are early you can hang around the ship (with your baggage) before being let to your suites as they are still probably being set-up before departure.

Arrival is the same process however as soon as security is done you are on your own to make your way home or on a vacation trip.
You can be picked up in the building via cars, uber and couchs that take you to the main city or to London (I am not 100% sure where the couchs take you as my mode of transportation was an Uber).

The stuff in the terminal are friendly and very helpful as they can assist you with anything you require. The stuff in the terminal are split into different sections for quick depart and arrival for example there are stuff that manage helping customers with baggage or directing them to one of the 4 couch collection points, security stuff at the departure & arrival gates and more.

If you are looking for a toilet. Fear no more as there are toilets located at the exit of the arrival gate.

Sorry for the pictures as the only pictures I got was for the Sky Princess cruises itself and not the terminal.

Arrived by coach, porters took our luggage, wife in a wheelchair, showed passports, on the ship and in our suite in 15 minutes! Off the ship, collected our luggage, porter took our luggage to the waiting coach, off to Heathrow - 20 minutes max. Great experience.

What a dump ....
Great big barn of a place the only thing missing is the cows. Really run down with no facilities even for a rea or coffee.
Website very misleading and completely inaccurate as it states that there is a restaurant with food and alcohol available. When I pointed this out to the staff they looked very bemused and puzzled and said " They were here a few years ago".
We went for a walk towards the end of the terminal and promptly got told off by some dockyard security? " You can't take photos here" and "what are you doing."
" We're not and getting on that boat we're standing beside" was our reply.
There wasn't anything to take photos of unless you count a few tractors waiting to be shipped.
Come on Southampton port, get your act together and spruce up the place...if I was a tourist getting on a cruise there I would think the UK is a third world country

The last of the 5 cruise terminals in Southampton Docks, opened by Queen Elizabeth II & her husband in 1960s. And the only one that still got railway tracks and platform, unused of course. On a way to the terminal one passes Berth 44 where Titanic departed from in 1912 (inaccessible to everyone but ABP workers). Terminal building is simple, compact, ugly, outmoded, quite cozy inside, new carpets and lots of comfy seats, nice loos but no eateries of any kind. Facilities for staff are inadequate. No transport links to town centre whatsoever. Some passengers and many port staff or ship crew have to walk to city centre and it takes roughly half an hour. Parking’s limited. Only smaller P&O and Cunard cruise ships are berthed there, primarily Aurora, Ventura, Queen Victoria and sometimes Queen Mary 2.
