I found Cobden Bridge to be extremely good as a bridge. Since there was a body of water called the Itchen River to be crossed, the existence of this bridge was invaluable.

Due to the quantity of four wheel drive vehicles that the good people of Hampshire seem to own, it is likely that the bridge will collapse under the sheer weight of it all in due course. But by that time the Earth is likely to be experiencing sea level rise to such an extent that the purpose of the bridge will be incidental.

But for now, I cannot commend enough the solid bridge like qualities that Cobden Bridge possesses.

Nice old bridge that you can watch rowers go by on a nice day.when tide is up. Walkway just below and greenery makes it nice to grab fish and chip and watch the world go by

A lovely toll free bridge that links Bitterne Park to St. Denys, crossing the River Itchen.
It wasn’t that long ago you were able to park on the bridge making it the only bridge in the south that you could do this, painting a cycle lane put paid to this!!

A must go to bridge, especially if you need to get to the other side. Scenic short and flat. Maybe one of the best bridges I crossed so far, definitely.

Now this is a bridge that I can get behind. Solid infrastructure, fits into the the modern-anglo style that Southampton falls under and you can walk on it pretty well
