A really nice place. Our guide Mr.King was very popular with the kids. Interesting 1 hour. Nice café inside. Right in front of the museum there is a lovely park where you can sit and relax.

Nice little museum with interesting permanent exhibits complimented with time limited special exhibits such as history of Star Wars toys and world of insects

Buying in advance always easier but there was no queue so doesn't matter. Lovely place for rainy days. Fee regular exhibitions ,i.e Agatha Christie's+ seasonal one Wich ATM is : themed if Star Wars Toys. Good fun. Wheels chair accessible

Brilliant trip with the family with plenty to keep us interested and the star wars exhibit brought many childhood memories flooding back! Well worth a visit and your ticket is valid for a year so we look forward to future trips

Not been here in YEARS but what a fun few hours, the star wars exibit was epic! Was nice to learn some local history too!

I took my son to see the Star Wars exhibition.
It was excellent, I would recommend.

Lovely place full of local history. We had a little walk around while at a family rave held at the venue. Will definitely be back for a family visit to look around the museum again.

Torquay Museum is located next door to Riviera Life Church on Babbacombe Road. There is limited paid parking on the road opposite and there are Stagecoach local bus stops just outside.
Our visit coincided with The Titanic exhibition, you enter on the ground floor where there is a gift shop, cafe and toilets, Entrance fee was £9 which gives you free entry for another 12 months but is FREE if you arrive by bus, walk or cycle!
There is an additional charge of £4 for the Titanic exhibition.
The museum had various rooms over four floors accessible via stairs of lift, an Explorer, Agatha Christie, Pirate, local rock rooms which were interesting with some hands on stuff to keeps the kids interested. The Titanic room was small and to be honest, disappointing with mainly replica or similar items. The one glass case with actual items recovered from the wreck site was fascinating however.
You have to pay for entrance at the gift shop and the staff were very helpful and even gave the kids a treasure hunt map for the pirates room.
Give yourself a couple of hours for a relaxing visit with a cup of coffee and cake.
