Have visited many times over the years when on holiday in the area. Never stayed here, just used the cafe. There's usually just one lady working, so service can be a little slow but be patient and enjoy the surroundings whilst you wait. You'll be rewarded with pleasant attentive service, delicious cake and great coffee! Also, make sure you take time to explore the Ariundle Oakwood's. If you have time, walk here from Strontian village centre. It's worth it.

We stayed in the white room... everything you could ask for washing machine... dish washer... cooker... kettle... microwave... perfectly clean and tidy... friendly staff... can highly recommend the lasagne in the restaurant... very quiet setting in a lovely part of Scotland...

What a lovely time my chums and I had at the Ariundle Centre recently. We were so well looked after by Kate and Aaron and Fraser. The food was homely and delicious, and the choice of beers perfect after a day’s walk up Sgúrr Dhòmhnuill or an afternoon kayaking on Loch Sunart. The setting was perfect too, giving easy access to this lovely corner of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Nice location but they really need to sort out front of house as there's one person there who should not be customer facing.
And needs a full bodied coffee brand as there's no point in having a nice espresso machine if you use bland and weak beans.

Tale of 2 halves!
Had lovely cup of coffee in am. served by a lovely waitress.
Went back to collect 6 take away suppers later which was spoiled by an obviously tired elderly lady who took her tiredness out on me!
Advice:
Only do what you can do properly...the advertised mackerel pate wasn't....and it involved smoked salmon....smoked salmon uses farmed salmon....salmon farming is an ecological disaster for Scotlands waters.
Label the lids on takeaway containers....this would have prevented the elderly lady from taking off the lids, shoving them under my nose and then failing to reseal them, leaving a crumpled mess of the foil containers. Portion control an issue....2 of the options were fine, mine, fish pie, was meagre with no vegetables.
Keep the elderly lady away from front of house.

I went here last year with my partner, and we were welcomed with the nicest hospitality! The food and drinks were delicious, with a great range of good local beers too, but the best part was the welcome from Kate, who started the business many years ago. She was fantastic and had so much knowledge about working with wool, and very kindly darned my favourite pair of socks! They have a great wool shop next to the cafe/restaurant where you can support the business and buy some beautiful garments, some created there on the land from Kate's own sheep and others from skilled craftspeople from further afield. Kate even holds workshops where you can learn to work with wool from the land, and I will make sure to come back here and do one of these courses in the future. A big thank you to Kate and the wonderful welcoming team at Ariundle, you made our trip! Definitely worth a visit :-)

Love visiting this area for a walk with the added treat of eating in the cafe. Lovely home baking and proper tea.
