We came overnight for my sister, who had a urinary tract infection. Being French staying in Scotland, we thought it would be the easiest thing to do (and that's what we'd been advised). My sister was seen, an urine test was done, the person just told us "indeed it's a nasty infection, you can call 111 to see a doctor". Apparently, the system here makes it impossible to receive treatment, in an hospital! Back to our apartment rent, with hours and hours of waiting to get a doctor on the phone (a doctor we still haven't seen). What an incredible healthcare system ????

The telephone operators are not patient enough as they hang the phone on the client and mostly blame it on the network. With my little knowledge of customer service and switchboard operator, when you pick up a call, you introduce yourself and kindly listen attentively and calmly in dealing with customer queries. While I acknowledge that sometimes the line may be busy, when patients try hard to connect, they should not yank them so quickly. It is unprofessional and painful. The golden rule is that a switchboard operator should never be in a hurry. Please, ARI, train your operators to understand that to support people mean to listen and remain calm.

I’d like to thank the staff team from the Gynaecology for looking after me so well. From staff nurse to surgeon they made me feel like a person and not a patient. Dr Gurumurthy’s team is fantastic????????

Daughter was discharged at 10am. It then took pharmacy another 6.5 hours to organise her discharge medication. Painfully slow and unacceptable.

Nursing staff were terrific as were others.

My daughter received her medication at 9.00pm. 11 hours after discharge.

Literally thee most useless emergency room ever! My friend is from the US and was in a car accident and needed emergency surgery due to a broken jaw and missing teeth. She sat in the ambulance for 7 hrs and didn’t get surgery for 3 days due to being on a “waitlist”!!! and on top of that was treated horribly by the surgeon and nurses that work here. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Shame on this place for treating humans the way they do!

I'm waiting for nothing regarding treatment for airway stenosis... 7 months have vanished and the ENT surgeon keeps me waiting while the small hole that's allowing me to breathe/stay alive (that was 6mm in the Autumn) narrows a bit more. It's turned out they are reluctant to treat me at this hospital, despite ridiculing Raigmore and telling me to transfer my care to them at Aberdeen. Even the surgeon's secretary won't answer me about where I am on the waiting list. She's useless. I'll be in a potentially fatal situation soon. (Several days ago I saw another surgeon in England, and they showed me a photo of my condition for the very first time, and it's shocking.) So, after Aberdeen playing ping-pong with me, failing to meet my 12-wk TTG, and playing around with my health, I've asked my GP to refer me to the National Airway Centre (Charing Cross), as the surgeon in England advised me to. This centre specialises in this condition and others. If you have a similar condition definitely look into Charing Cross NHS, as the people there take airway stenosis more seriously. Aberdeen have lost my trust, and I've now withdrawn my consent for the ENT man to operate on me (because I told him and his secretary so, I have no faith in either of them). He's reckless and dishonest. He's on holiday at the moment yet again! Obviously loves his holidays... he's having a much better time than me. I'm now back to asking Raigmore for help to send me to Charing Cross.

I was a regular there in 2018. Yes I even had an overnight stay here just so they could monitor me. I was sick but it wasn't that bad. Needless to say, I was well taken care of and by far the best treatment/service I've ever received from a General Hospital. Not comparing this to my own country or anywhere else but this is the U.K so they have the best medical facilities, professionals and infrastructure. Shout out to my Dr. Who is the most nicest, gentlest human being I have ever met. Dr. B-L and GNHS Aberdeen, thank you for your care ❤️???????? #Love&GratitudefromtheSouthPacific

I attended A and E minor injury dept on 05/06/23.
Within 5 hours I had registered, triaged, xrayed, consulted and diagnosed with a dislocated ankle, anaesthetised, joint reset and plastered, xrayed again, ct scanned, recovered from anaesthetic, given medication, discharge letter and crutches, and I hopped out of the building.
Everyone I met was friendly, helpful, efficient, caring and SO professional. I cannot praise everyone I met highly enough. THANK YOU ALL!
