Tasty vegetarian food like home, for North Indian I guess everyone can relate the food made by home.

I found this place on Google when we were on a staycation in Fujairah. The food is super fresh and tastes like a home cooked meal.

Very disappointed with the taste of veg thali & aloo paratha. The quantity was also less and it was costly & tasteless..I would not recommend this restaurant ????

Most affordable Gujarati cafeteria in Fujairah. Its also a very old establishment. Certainly not fancy place but the food is good. Afternoon Thali is value for money. Morning breakfast is very limited, their chai is delicious. In snacks, Samosas & gulab jamoun are excellent.

An interesting castle with some rooms highly decorated in wall paintings some very raunchy, then others completely bare almost like work in progress. The outside fountain garden is lovely to see and well kept up, although the fountain itself was not working which is a shame. Staff were very friendly and helpful and although not a lot in the shop to purchase there was a very good section of plants outside to buy which pleased the wife.

Parking, we found a nightmare, you could either park next to the pub or opposite the pub. We parked in the additional parking, as there was no space in the other two. This was definitely the best option. But you could easily miss the sign as it's just off the road. The castle, especially the view's were lovely and the grounds. I found it a bit boring as there was no main attraction when we went. The rooms had very little in them. Some of the ceilings were wonderful. Staff were very helpful. I wouldn't take young children unless it's for a picnic. They have a playground and a cafe next to each other, and a gift shop.

An English Heritage site, so it is worth being a member to cut the entrance fee. A well worth visit I must say. Not the kind if castle I was expecting and incredibly well preserved! The staff are wonderful and the tour guides are all highly enthusiastic. They also have fantastic events on throughout the year.

To be a Castle built for fun and pleasure this place is worth a visit. Some rooms weren't fully restored, but some were. Cavendish private room and those ready to take posh people were, but the staff's rooms kitchen and dish areas were damp and almost felt moldy. But in some kind of weird way that makes sense. In the building ruins there's a family of owls that made a hidden treasure to see. Also are the museum part exhibition nice though of learning out history in a bright way. The second hand book shop is also worth a visit, found a gem there today. Also the staff were very nice.

Possibly my favourite English Heritage castle so far. Warm, helpful and friendly staff. Great gift shop. Reasonable cafe (Jammie Dodger Blondies were amazing). The castle is beautiful. The architecture is stunning. I wasn’t expecting such interesting interiors. The plaques are helpful but not overly wordy. Really enjoyed our visit.

The castle stands up high looking down over the town of Bolsover but you can't see it from the motorway. We joined a tour guide and what he didn't about the castle didn't need to be known. Ian was the perfect guide, knowledgeable and with a very good banter, he insisted on calling us peasants.
The castle is in parts a ruin, but in other parts very good repair. You'll see one of the first ever riding schools and the kitchen of a castle
The walled garden is a must to see as is the little castle, but good footwear is needed for the stairs in the castle.
You should set aside at least 2 hours to enjoy this but there is a cafe at the end of it all, and a wooden castle for the little ones to play in.

What a find on a beautiful sunny day! We stopped in the area to charge our car and have lunch and decided to visit this castle before continuing on our way. Managed by English Heritage, there were all the typical amenities: cafe, gift shop, many volunteers ready to talk to you about whatever you are curious about. We used the free audio guide, which had a few different options for families, adults and schools. They included some video elements, which were difficult to see on the sunny day, but would probably keep primary aged kids engaged throughout. There was so much information that if you had the whole day to listen to it all it might take that long! As it was, we just listened to the highlights and learned a great deal. The Little Castle was still pretty much intact, whereas one large part of the remaining castle is a ruin and open to the elements. There are gorgeous paintings/frescoes on the walls and ceilings in some rooms and the “throne” room was hung with era typical tapestries. The large walled garden is beautifully maintained and would be a lovely place for a picnic. Views all around of the stunning Derbyshire countryside.
Highly recommended.
