I feel sorry for the staff, there was only 1 chap in the office who was run ragged on a busy sunny Sunday during Darwen Live music festival, its a pity the owners didn't anticipate such a busy day...I would have thought it was obvious. The cars also don't take card payments!!!!! Very annoying the driver offered to take me to a cash machine on route but I chose to go back to the office and ask the 1 harassed chap to take payment on his machine, who carries cash these days??? Very slack of the owner(s) not buying card machines or even satellite navigation for the cars, drivers have to use their own phones to get around. They sound like a bunch of money grabbing barstewards. Wish I'd phoned for Taxi from Bolton, at least they have the proper equipment.

I'm not one for leaving a review but it needs to be said I got a taxi back from Darwen at weekend in an absolute drunken state the driver made sure I got home okay didn't overcharge atall and also handed my wallet in at the office which had a large amount of cash in all of which was still there when I collected the next day..... Taxis get a lot of bad press but these deserve a pat on the back and some appreciation thank you!

Dropped my girlfriend off over a mile in wrong place because he was too lazy to look at the directions she tried to show him. Usually take 20 minutes to come too. Bad attitude from operator and most drivers. Refuse to answer phone to girlfriends number left her stranded in the rain. What a shame for Darwen

Went to book a taxi in the office that was thick with cigarette smoke. The man didn't really acknowledge me. Told him I needed transport for 6 people and gave him a list with pick-up addresses and all the details. He threw it on the desk and said he'd sort it later. I asked him to ring me with confirmation and he said he would after 2. Of course he didn't so i rang the day after and spoke to a lady who told me it hadn't been booked so I had to go through it with her. Taxi came on time for both pick-up and return journeys. It looked like a normal car and 2 of our group were crushed into a seat behind the back seats. If they had been fat they would never have got in. An unpleasant journey for them all the way to Bolton and back. Won't use them again.

Some good, some bad. They charge more for certain journeys than competitors. What driver you get can affect your journey a lot. I've had really good rapid drivers. I've also had one who one-hands the wheel while holding a coffee cup, ones who steer like they are on a racetrack slapping you from side to side.

You've got a few bad apples in there. Ones who don't even want to help old ladies load their shopping, or charge exorbitant fees if a child is sick (more than the cost of valeting the car). I use rapid more than most so this is on good authority (not all first hand experience).

Fantastic service. Broke down after midnight far side of Blackburn in terrible weather, snow wind etc and chippies saved me and brought me home. Driver was brilliant and lady on telephone also great help.

Quite bizarre journey. Driver wanted pay immediately which was fine but then insisted on not chatting by ignoring everything I said. Not even any kind of chit chat. Really quite bizarre if I’m honest and rather awkward. I wouldn’t recommend.

Booked a taxi, the man who booked it for us told us that he called it out twice, which was a lie. Others that booked after us got a taxi first. We waited 30 minutes for a taxi for a five minute drive. When we eventually got a taxi, it cost us five pounds which is a rip off and the man who drove us was literally falling asleep at the wheel. If i could rate it a 0 I would.
