Beautifully clean campsite, lovely toilet and shower cubicles. Friendly helpful staff. Dog friendly and right at the edge of town. If you're going to eat out go to Cairnbaan hotel, just a wee walk away but well worth it. Local produce beautifully cooked and great menu, all reasonably priced.

Fantastic site, Robert the owner was very helpful as I arrived wet on my bike. Immaculately clean showers and toilets. Really nice guy and a nice quiet tent area. Only 5 minute walk into town. One of the best

So pleased we decided to stay here it was a great site with really big pitches, first class facilities and very clean. Jay the part time caretaker was a hive of local knowledge. Lovely walks from the site along the tow path to Crinan and Ardrishage, very interesting to see the locks in operation. Good access from the site to Tarbert and Campbelltown.
Lochgilphead is a lovely quiet town too.

A good base for exloring the Kintyre peninsula and Argyle coast.
Close to town centre with easy access to shops and cafes. Some road noise but not too intrusive.
Site is used by road workers and electricity infrastructure workers who can be a bit noisy when leaving for work in the morning.
Pitches are large hard standing with water, grey waste and electricity on each pitch. Toilets and showers are the best I have ever seen on a caravan site.

Having just completed the NC500 and stayed in many campsites this one came up top. A very friendly welcome The hard standing pitches are huge The showers and toilets give this campsite the edge above all the others Spotless !!

Fantastic wee site. This is our 3rd time here and love it. So handy for getting up onto the Crinan canal for either walk or cycle, it's literally only 3mins from the site.
The site itself is very clean and well maintained. The toilets and showers are great with plenty hot water and powerful shower.. Very Powerful so be careful hahaha The only thing I would mention is the lack of a good restaurant in Lochgilphead but we tend to have a late lunch at the Crinan hotel . Cycle along the canal takes about 45mins and we are not fast:-) Food is great but that's for another review.

Great camping, motorhome and caravan site. The site is in the town of Lochgilphead but quiet with large spacious pitches. The shower rooms are excellent. There are walks from the site that include forrest and canalside trails. Will definitely come back and stay longer

We are staying on the site, we have a touring caravan and have booked on to a full service pitch, very well kept site, the toilets and showers are very modern and spotlessly clean, the wardens are friendly, quiet site, bird songs in abundance, there’s a well kept dog exercise area, it’s situated within the town and very close to the Crinan Canal which has perfect well kept manicured tow path for cyclists and walkers, plenty to see and visit in the area, would definitely recommend this site. 5* rating
