Wadi Shees: A Hidden Oasis of Natural Splendor

Prepare to be enchanted by the untouched beauty of Wadi Shees, a hidden oasis nestled amidst the rugged landscapes of the UAE. I recently had the pleasure of exploring this breathtaking destination, and I must say, it's a true gem that will leave you in awe. Join me as we embark on a journey to discover the natural splendor of Wadi Shees!

As I entered Wadi Shees, I was immediately struck by the sense of tranquility that enveloped me. The towering cliffs, carved by centuries of natural forces, created a dramatic backdrop against the clear blue sky. The rugged terrain and lush vegetation painted a picture of an oasis in the desert, a sanctuary of serenity waiting to be explored.

Wadi Shees is a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. The meandering paths and trails offer opportunities for hiking and exploring, allowing you to immerse yourself in the wonders of the natural world. As you venture deeper into the wadi, you'll be rewarded with stunning vistas, cascading waterfalls, and hidden pools that beckon you to take a refreshing dip.

One of the highlights of Wadi Shees is its abundant wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled as you traverse the trails, and you may be lucky enough to spot various species of birds, reptiles, and even the elusive Arabian tahr. It's a testament to the thriving ecosystem that exists within this hidden paradise, and a reminder of the delicate balance of nature.

The crystal-clear pools and gentle waterfalls of Wadi Shees offer a rejuvenating escape from the outside world. Take a moment to immerse yourself in the refreshing waters, feel the coolness against your skin, and let the sounds of nature wash away any stresses or worries. It's a true oasis of tranquility, where you can find solace and renewal amidst the serene beauty of your surroundings.

Wadi Shees also holds cultural significance, as it is believed to be an ancient trading route. Explore the remnants of historical structures, such as watchtowers and forts, and let your imagination wander as you envision the vibrant history that unfolded within these majestic walls. It's a place where the past meets the present, and where you can connect with the rich heritage of the region.

We visited this place when we visited Wadi Shees, as it is just next to it. You can walk to this place.
+ Very shallow water so you can remove your shoes and walk slowly in the cold water (not freezing cold). It's very comforting specially after the Wadi Shees trek.
+ A nice place to click photos.
+ Once you cross the water pond, you can climb the small rock for another nature photography opportunity.
+ A nice small place, having a small plateau area for people to sit and relax, when Sun is not on top.

Advise to accompany kids while they want to walk inside the pond.

A humble request to Keep the area clean and dispose off waste into the provided waste bins only.

Roads broken due to last year fled ( from wadi Shees to Nahwa). Working progress. I hop it will be ready in this month. Enquire about road conditions before planning to visit Nahwa.
