Thank you to Ian and to Oscar for my fabulous haircut today. I have been coming to Chameleons for a very long time and have always been thrilled with my experience and often receive compliments about my haircut. I would like to praise Oscar for his exemplary attitude and service. He is a real asset to the Chameleons team and I can only recommend people to book in with him. I am sure you will be delighted by his professionalism as a stylist.

The first and last time we used the salon. The guy was very very slow, and the owner despite the friendly face was very rude.
I asked (the guy was cutting my daughter’s hair) whether he should put more layers in or not , the owner jumped in and said stop changing your mind , you already asked him to make it a bit shorter …
Honestly I couldn’t believe it , as I was replying to him , he said don’t have attitude….
Stay away, Cheltenham is full of lovely hairdressers, beautiful and refreshing and up market .
This one is just at the very very very bottom.
I gave 2 star only because in the end my daughter’s hair looked nice .

Reading your reply , you’re wrong I wasn’t aggressive at all, I never mentioned I am paying (never), I was just talking to Oscar and my daughter ,you had no right what so ever to tell me like school girl not to have attitude.
Also you never ever mentioned that he is new (that explains why a normal haircut , conditioner and blow dry took 3 hours )otherwise I wouldn’t let him to touch her hair , in fact he said he has been doing this for 3 years .
Interesting he is trained recently but you charged what you did …
As an owner you can not pick and choose your clients , you need to be patient with everyone.
Sadly my hairdresser didn’t have time for her and she insisted to have haircut that day , but this is completely normal to discuss the length and layers whilst cutting is getting done and doing any necessary changes but not in your place .

I tried Chamelons for the first time today and had a cut and highlights put in and I couldn’t be happier with the result. James took the time to discuss my hair with me which resulted in me getting exactly what I’d wanted. On top of their professionalism, James and Oscar were both really welcoming and friendly. I’d 100% recommend Chamelons to anyone.

Where do I even start with this fantastic salon. I actually only come to visit about once a year and it is for something very in particular and I wouldn't trust anywhere else to do it! After looking around 6 different salons in cheltenham for where to get my long hair permed I came across Chameleons. As soon as I met Ian and his son James I instantly felt relaxed and that the process would be a good one and that I would be happy with the result. As you can see my hair is very long and dead straight but I have always wanted my hair to be curly. This is now 3 years that I have had curly hair for and take a trip back to the salon each year to have a 4 hour long apt of it being permed and cut to shape. I then usually pop back the week after to have it dyed. One year (the second time I had had it done) for whatever reason the perm didn't take very well. Ian managed to fit me in on NYE to sort it out and re do it all FOC! This lovely family run business will go out of their way to ensure you are 100% happy with the results, and will definitely make sure you have a good laugh while you're there!! Couldn't recommend highly enough! Exceptional staff including Tori, and fab service, everyone who's in there at the time having their hair done seems to be enjoying themselves!

I never ever write reviews but I just wanted to give some credit to James! My son was absolutely terrified of having his hair cut! We’ve had some really bad experiences but he made him feel totally at ease the first time we went and today was only his second time and he sat with a gown on and just had his hair cut no tears no screaming job done! Thank you so much! It’s now something I don’t have to dread!

I have been coming here for over 9 years now and seen various members of staff come and go. But what remains consistent is the happy, fun and caring environment Ian and James provide. Not to mention the fab haircuts and colours James gives. Thank you guys ????????

I have been there for the first time with my daughter, she had a haircut after a few years of having a long hair.
It has been an amazing experience. Ian was very considerate, made sure he understood exactly what she wanted, gave her useful tips on how to take care of her hair, how to arrange it and blow-dry.
I will definitely come back.

Devastated :'(
I got my hair chemically straightened and after two weeks my hair was gradually shedding.
(I was told some highlights would fall out) but what fell out was ALOT more than' some highlights it was half my hair!

Two weeks after my hair felt dry so I added coconut oil and shampoo it with Jason's organic shampoo. plus applied a further organic treatment. After rinsing my entire head of hair was so knotted up and porous that even lots of conditioner and further trying couldn't comb through.
I had to cut through my hair with scissors to relieve the matte. All the whilst large amounts of hair was coming away as it was being combed
What was left was large Clump of hair from my head on my basin and my scalp Itching.

My mother had the same process done some years ago and hers fell out due to over processing. I believe this is the case here

I have used the same organic products for years and no problems with itching or hair loss, aftercare was good and no heat was used on my hair.

After a 20 minute appointment with James I left crying and decided to take legal action. James who works alongside his dad was so confrontational and rude refused to accept any responsibility and blamed it on my Organic shampoo and aftercare.

I have also sought professional advice and I have been assured that my hair was clearly over processed and it was not the organic shampoo that caused the fall out.

Ive arranged an appointment at another salon for a deep condition and cut to attempt to salvage the rest of my falling out hair.

-James did not preform a patch test or a strand test.
- After care advice was not given

- organic shampoo being poor aftercare is a poor excuse that just doesn't cut it.

Save yourself the argro and don't chance this salon ..

It may go right but for me it went horribly wrong and not an ounce of sympathy or acknowledgement,So unprofessional
Such a shame ????
