Rob and Jo are the very best hosts we have ever met. They were absolutely unbelievable in looking after us. It is quite simply home from home.
As well as accommodation they provide an excellent service driving you to the start / finish of your daily walk on the Way.
When we got back after a walk in the evening there was a feast of Chinese food on one evening and a roast chicken dinner in the oven on the following evening. Amazing.
Absolutely superb place and people. Wonderful.

The B&B was cozy (a fire place!), clean, and had everything needed for a relaxing break from walking, including laundry facilities and a drying room. The breakfast room was well stocked with snacks, drinks, and even some „heat it and eat it“ meals and our dietary restrictions were accommodated for.
This was by far our favorite accommodation along the WHW. We felt right at home and we definitely want to come back!

One of the best accommodations I have ever stayed in, worldwide.
Absolutely recommended for West Highland Way people and other hikers, nature enthusiasts and just perfect as a base camp for hikes and excursions due to great connections (train/bus in Crianlarich) and INCLUDED TRANSFER SERVICE NEAR EVERYWHERE.

Sensational, personable service.
We stayed at the Lodgehouse for 4 nights in June 2023.
We were picked up from the train station and so nicely welcomed by Jo & Rob.
Perfect for us as we didn't have a rental car (and saved much money that way): the transfer service.
During our stay, Rob drove us:
- to Inverarnan (WHW stage Inverarnan-Crianlarich),
- picked us up from Tyndrum (WHW stage Crianlarich-Tyndrum),
- and even drove us to Glencoe (day tour Devil's Staircase and Stob Mhic Mhartuin).
On the way we got a lot of interesting info about the area, Rob seems to know every stone here ????
The whole house is beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail, the rooms lovely and the bed comfortable.
The view from the living room directly onto the mountains is sensational. Really like a painting.
Included in the price was our (self-service) continental breakfast, which included everything our hearts desired: wheat and wholemeal toast, various jams and juices, fruit, tea cakes, biscuits, porridge and we could even make ourselves baked beans and eggs.
Summing up: we will come again, but next time for sure for longer. Thank you for everything!
