Couldn’t recommend Taranis Aviation highly enough! You receive tailored, professional training from instructors that have a wealth of industry knowledge. They have helped me massively in my pursuit of an airline career. Not only providing my ppl training but also helping me with interview prep and commercial training tips.
Whether you’re just doing your training for fun or wanting to pursue a career in flying, Will and Trev will be able to help you out! :)

Excellent training set up. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that can’t do enough to help you out! Trevor has been my instructor for a while now and is brilliant, very patient and has taught me a lot!

If anyone is looking for a flying school I would highly recommend this one! 5*

What a fantastic taster flight. My husband bought me a flight as christmas present. I am scared of flying and he thought this might be a good idea to help. Trevor my instructor was fantastic. He really put me at ease and I even got to have a go at landing. Fantastic experience and I'm keen to have some more lessons as soon as I can, which is an incredible achievement for me! Thank you Taranis Aviation!

Thoroughly enjoying my time with Taranis Aviation. The guys are committed, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and genuine aviation lovers. There can be a lot to take in whilst learning new flying skills and polishing old ones, the instructors are patient to say the least, taking time to make sure we focus on what matters, prioritising the important aspects of flying. It’s given me confidence to know what I need to know to conduct every flight safely. Every flight is a fun learning exercise, but that’s what drives us to fly and improve our skills and confidence.

The aircraft availability has been great, and every effort made to accommodate aircraft use in between other pilots learning, or just PPL flights.

I’ve been qualified for several years, but still just enjoy lessons from time to time with instructors, they’re better company than some of my mates! ????. You never stop wanting to learn, when time permits, I’ll look to add a night rating and revalidate my IMC.

Had a few ground school lessons, and must say, they ticked the box. Well delivered and passed first time.

In summary, a great little school, great location, well run, and the place to be surrounded by pilots with a few hours, to commercial with 1000s of hours, all happy to share their experience with you.

I had a trial flight just before the last lockdown and was extremely impressed by the school. Will and Trevor were fantastic and answered all the questions I had ahead of time and more on the day. Very professional organisation and I'll definitely be looking to complete licence training with them when possible. They also have links to Tiger Moth Experience where you can have your trial flight in a 1930's aircraft....I might have to give that a go too for good measure. All in all highly recommended!

Taranis aviation helped me complete my PPL, something I always dreamed to do.
Every lesson described throughly in detail pre flight.
Their dedicated group of instructors were always on hand and who would always try to accommodate me when ever I was ready to fly Also their ground school was amazing, especially on the poor weather days which is the part that helped me the most and I enjoyed just as much as the flying.
So if your eager to start the journey and wanting to learn to become a pilot I personally can’t recommend these guys enough.
The skies the limit if your heart is in it!!

I cannot rate Taranis Highly enough! On initial contact they were quite happy to listen, help and advise without pressure or expectation of future business from me. Most importantly they are very practical and approachable giving well-informed advice in a number of different areas. They have a wealth of experience ranging from Light single engine, through vintage, to modern commercial airliners. Their training is personalised and targeted to the individuals requirements. I will certainly be using them for my future training needs and renewals.

Outstanding. Trev and Will are highly,professional, knowledgeable and above all fun - many flying schools, in my experience, forget that most of us are doing this for fun and leisure - had a laugh a minute which generated a superb learning environment. What I particularly liked was they were extremely adept at managing the pace of learning to the individual, if you picked something up quickly then the next lesson began immediately, rather than burning fuel and cost practicing something you already had the hang of. In my 60’s (very young for my age!!) so all the above goes a long way to explain that I completed my PPL in the minimum hours. Passed with flying colours, with an independent and widely known stickler of an examiner, so that speaks volumes. Could I recommend them? Absolutely!! Both are highly experienced commercial pilots, with encyclopaedic knowledge of aviation, but are adept at putting both theory and practical lessons across in an unhurried, easily digestible manner. In a word, awesome.
