The cutest little cottages there ever was. Free admission in the middle of a lovely garden location, and the friendliest staff. Highly recommend a visit there.

The rooms were very interesting to look at, and housed many antiques to give you a sense of what it was like to live there many years ago. Walking through takes only about 15 minutes, but maybe a little slower if you’d like to read all the information. No wait time to get in, and there weren’t any others visiting when we went - so no queues or running into other people :)

Lots of cute little gifts to buy, some homemade/local, some imported - ALL adorable. I got a mini water fountain there for only £25, and it’s probably the cutest thing I own now.

Before we left, we partook in the mouse hunt! They hid 7 little fake mice all around the bottom floor of the house, and if you find them all and spell out the word using the letters assigned to each mouse, they give you candy! Was very excited about this. Highly recommend the mouse hunt for children and adults visiting. Super cute.

There is a small café and coffee bar attached to the cottages, which you can stop at for a light refreshment or snack before or after your visit into the cottages. Lots of spots for seating and areas for children to play!

Big fan of the Trenance Cottages. Hope to go again sometime soon!

Lovely little museum which is free to enter. Well curated by friendly and knowledgeable staff. The gift shop(s) are also lovely with some really interesting things.

The museum in Trenance Heritage Cottages was the purpose of my visit. It is an ethnographic museum which interprets the lives of the people who used to live there. The curators of the museum have collected artefacts from earlier times and present them skilfully as room layouts, a meal on the table, bedrooms with linen and even two Cornish pasties in the oven! Lovely, free experience. Lots to learn about local history. Set in beautiful surroundings and the cafe nextdoor is decent.

We had our wedding here and couldn't have gone any better. Staff were all so lovely and the gardens are perfect for photos. Definitely recommend here for a small personal wedding or any other event for that matter.❤

This is an interesting terrace of cottages portrayed as a museum showing how they looked over a century ago - very evocative. There is a wide range of souvenirs on display. The volunteer staff are friendly and helpful. Adjoining the cottages is a tea room offering a wide range of snacks and drinks, and an outdoor area to enjoy those refreshments. In brief it is well worth a visit. Entry is free so no need to buy tickets.
