Nice place for a walk. Not very busy, little car park available too. Great walk, beautiful views, plenty of different animal species to spot. Fantastic poster about keeping dogs on the leads. It should be mandatory on all NT sites.
Also good idea with spray painting dog poos to show people how they are leaving the site behind them.

Nice place to visit, for a wild coastal and dunes walk. A very freindly reception at the visitor centre hut.

Well presented site with small car park (National Trust members free or pay if not) and open year round,and information point which is open seasonaly. Valuable and interesting sand dune ecosystem. Mixed shingle and send beach with stunning Vista of the Lakeland fells from Black Combe in the west to the central fells.
15 minutes walk takes you from the car park to the estuary mouth and views of the open sea

We came here wanting to relax on the beach and go swimming. It was advertised as a quiet beach, yet there were more people than I would have expected. After finding a space in the very small car park, which was completely full, we walked down to the "beach". It turned out to be a large expanse of sand with a couple puddles of water. I walked for half an hour looking for the ocean, but all I found was a dead seal. You're much better off going to the nearby Earnse bay, which was less busy and actually by the ocean.

It's got beach, it's got frogs, it's got parking and it's got views of the mountains! Can't beat that selection of scenic delights!

Amazing and beautiful beach. The hut is lovely and toasty and the volunteers are really friendly.

Fabulous car park and such nice staff. The best beach to walk on in England!
