Lovely little spot. It's ideal for an early morning dog walk.

Brilliant place to see birds and seals. Once parked follow path next to the road to the hide where it is possible to see seals, curlews, oystercatchers herons, egrets and numerous gulls. Afterwards cross road and walk next to the stream/ inlet to another hide where more birds and seals can be seen

The site is terrible
it seems to have been renovated, but it has been made much worse
I was told that the rspb have now control of the site.
The path from the carpark used to be safe for families and children, not now, it is severely overgrown and has direct access to a very busy road.
The hide is good though and deserves recognition
Previously I would give 5 stars now it is nill
Sorry, but I must tell it like it is - dangerous

Small parking area for visiting the viewing areas for seals and other wildlife. A half hour walk gets you to the estuary where there are two enclosed hides with seating.

Small free car park leading to newly installed wildlife viewing area with a metal screen, and a resurfaced footpath along the side of the road leading to another wildlife viewing area / screen near the bridge.
There are quite a few information boards along the footpath and one small bench. The second viewing area near the bridge has a very nice circular built in bench.
It all looks a bit rough at the moment as the banks have been newly constructed and there's not much grass growing on them yet.
I think the car park is a bit small, as it was full on a Sunday in February with no seals or birds in sight, so will not be enough spaces for days with better weather and more wildlife.
Also there were no rubbish bins or dog waste bins anywhere, several people had dumped bags of dog poo at the side of the footpath and under the information boards.

Wow, our first seal sighting. We walked further up the road following the signs and stopped near the bridge. Up popped a seal just as I got my camera out. We then crosssed the road and walked along the estuary and saw quite a few seals leaving on the tide. Lovely walk and so well kept.

DONT USE THE POSTCODE GIVEN , ITS INCORRECT... you'll be taken around to the processing plants further back down the road etc

Unfortunately there's some kind of building working going on.. half of the car park has been taken up..the area seems quite busy etc

From a basic view I can't see anything which would help views of the seals .. hides????

Anyway I'll add more as I'm exploring the area for views/ wildlife & a general great experience overall.... the next place on my list the bird protection nature reserve.. a very short drive down the road...
