Absolutely amazing place where past captains greeted you and talked you through 18 holes that didn’t disappoint , from the moment you put the number in the gate ! The gardeners and green keepers were very polite , the banter great and John in the pro shop is Mere’s golf and country’s loss . Very welcoming and great advice .

So nice to see the members welcoming visitors , couldn’t do enough even the 5 hour rain fall couldn’t dampen a great day thank you for having us.

The girls behind the bar very accommodating. And friendly

Definitely will be back . Great course greens were very interesting to play

Really enjoyed the round, despite the rain. Very fairly set up. Greens on the slower side to many courses. Very pretty course, back 9 have some wonderfully designed holes, albeit a bit blind, so worth walking up a few yards to get a view of green

Another excellent parkland golf course well established with amazing greens, for me you get the feel that the course feels like a links on some holes, some holes are very tight off the tee, so if you spray your driver left or right, you might want to hit something else from the tee, we'll definitely be back to play here again, well worth a visit⛳

I didn't really know what to expect with Royal Lytham, I had been told the club house was impressive and filled with golfing memorabilia and history and this is certainly the case, it feels like you are walking through a mini golf museum albeit with the occasional view out on to the well maintained course from the various rooms positioned off the landing.

The course itself also lives up to its reputation, it felt like we were stepping back in time as we teed off from the first positioned in front of the pro shop. Starting with a par three sets the scene and the first few holes follow the train line that runs along the right hand flank of the course. Aesthetically it is rather flat and very much feels like an old links. The condition of the fairway was fantastic and greens and aprons also amazing for the time of year. Out on the course there was a lovely feeling of enjoyment, we were obviously one of a few groups of visiting players and we helped each other take the mandatory pics with the club house in the back ground etc. Overall it felt very much like an experience rather than just a round of golf and a wonderful experience that I will be happy to replicate again in the near future.

Superb golf club and course.
From arrival being greeted by the friendly pro in the shop, to playing a course that is in top condition and a great test of golf.
Members of the club are very welcoming and happy to chat both in the club house and on the course.
Food was very nice and reasonably priced.
I would 100% recommend a visit here and I will certainly be back again.

Played the course as part of a society today. We were welcomed by the 2021 Club Captain which was a really nice touch.

The course was in immaculate condition.

The draught Guinness was excellent and the food served was lovely.

I can't wait to return and play again - and see the inside of the club house!
