Been at this surgery for about 16/17 years. It went downhill when Dr McDonald retired and has got even worse recently. I believe Dr Wear has left which could be why. You can be on hold for 20+ minutes every day trying to get an appointment. If they do finally answer, and not hang up on you, then all the appointments are usually gone and they seem loathed to book appointments in advance. Even with a documents from the hospital, they don't have staff available for post-operative care.

I'm 47 years old & been a patient for 47 years. The surgery having been under the management of Dr McDonald & his apprentice Sharples are both retired & within a year the drop in patient care was hugely apparent. Know it's just discussting. There are 2 doctors that seem to genuinely care & don't have a god complex & are permeant recidencies Dr Wilkinson & Dr Harrison. At all costs do not see Dr Shipman I mean Daz.. Future if not all prolific killer in the works. Either for fake doctors that blagged a carrer off total negligence by just putting on her CV im a doctorr & she's actually qualified as a plaster or became a doctor so she can hurt or kill people which lets be honest wouldn't be the first. It sounds like I'm joking but & I wish I was.

I have been struggling to get an appointment for my partner to have a private medical for work. I rang Dr Wear’s surgery and the receptionist ( sorry I didn’t get your name) was very knowledgeable and very helpful. I would like to commend her on her friendliness and professionalism. Well Done.

Too much to say tbh absolutely waist of time to doctor ring back also advice is to buy something over the counter. After operation I'll have another over the phone consultation. I could say lots but nothing good.

Average ethical standards at best.

Access to medication problems.

'One size fits all' approach.

Patents identities spoiled through complaints or concerns being voiced.

GP's don't recognise the value of actively listening to 'what doesn't work', which is worrying.

Best advice is don't complain or your access to healthcare becomes an undue obstacle course.

Duke Street Surgery is the best doctor's surgery you can get they have looked after me since i was a baby and its the best in town i would recommend this doctors surgery very highly
