Good experience in this place

Liked: Beautiful views and wide open sky. Wildlife everywhere. There was a resident swallow family and constant birdsong. This is what camping is all about. We absolutely loved this site and can’t wait to come back. We spent four days relaxing, kayaking, swimming, and exploring. The village is a pleasant walk away with a pub, cafe and shop and the harbour, which is lovely. A woodland walk to Lunga bay which is absolutely stunning. Could not recommend more.

What a wee gem. Quiet, no fuss site. We just loved the quirky toilet, washing up area and the shower, made me smile everytime I used them Simon the owner cane to visit and spent time with all the campers on his visit. He is a lovely, friendly, humorous, informative gentleman, a pleasure to meet. All the campers during our visit were friendly and most said they would return. First visit for us but we will definitely return.

Liked: Location was spectacular. On the banks of loch Craignish. We were the only folk there on Thursday afternoon so very peaceful. Rustic facilities but perfectly adequate. Little toilet / washing up hut and separate shower hut. All nice and clean. Short walk / cycle to Ardfern which has nice pub for drinks / food.

Disliked: Could do with more hardcore or slabs at entrance to toilet block as very muddy due to heavy rain during stay. Wi-Fi didn’t work.

Liked: Peace and quiet.
View of the loch.
Short walk to the local for a superb evening meal.
Although the facilities look basic, the shower was hot and there was plenty of room for getting changed.
We are glad we stayed 2 nights and will use this site again.
The wi-fi wasn't on when we visited, but as we were enjoying an off grid week we didn't feel the need to contact the support number supplied. If we had needed it it was clear who to get in touch with :-)
We enjoyed the freedom of this unmanned site.
Village shop within walking distance.

Disliked: Not really a dislike but be aware there is no grey waste drive over (that we could find).
We have a large waste tank so it did not trouble us - you could use a bucket and the chemical waste point.

Liked: Small quiet site. Has all you need for a few days stay. Short walk from site to local hotel and cafe and also local shop. Would definitely visit again and recommend.

Liked: Nice quiet spot on the West coast, good for exploring some rural areas.

Needed a one night stay somewhere between Tarbert and Oban so this did the job.

Electric and pitch size were good, good views to the loch from all pitches, had a hern about 15m away from the van in the morning fishing in a little flooded pond area.

There isn't much around the campsite other than walking....or walking to the local pub or shop (a good thing to some!). We enjoyed driving to the end of the road for some views at Craignish Point.

Disliked: I honestly haven't came away from a campsite in a while not wanting to stay longer but to be honest I just didn't enjoy the stay here.

The facilities are far too basic for what you pay, I don't mind basic at all but only having one toilet between 12 (or more) pitches is not suitable. The toilet doesn't have a wash basin either so between washing dishes, toilet and the single shower it is a bit of nightmare come late evening/early morning as obviously everyone wants to use these at the same time. At £25 a night you just have to be providing better than this!

Also, washing dishes while someone is in the toilet through the 'wall' is not ideal!

Liked: I liked the fact that the "system" was based on trust. No predesignated sites. Other campers were really helpful, friendly and the atmosphere was very laid back. A robin landed on my foot, big highlight!
