We arrived by bike after hours but were welcomed in and given a quiet level tent pitch for the night. (Look for the “Backpackers” envelope near reception.) We were allowed to move our tent the second day and had a nice sheltered spot under the tower.
Staff were friendly, facilities were spotless, plenty of hot water, and the view can’t be beat. It was such a relaxing place, we stayed a day longer than initially planned.
Dunbar is a quick trip by bike, with groceries, restaurants and sights.

Went into town, grabbed a coffee & charged it there.
Given the choice I’ll definitely avoid these sites going forward.

I chose a grass pitch with hookup. Ground is sandy, therefore free draining, although we had little rain. Somewhat less than full (mid June). WiFi very good. Highly recommended.
Cement works is some distance
away and I felt no effect. Actually you wouldn't know it was there if it didn't have a huge chimney.

Lovely views and facilities.
Only gripe was the distance to town if you wanted to walk in. (It was a fair walk to get out of the estate onto the main B Road, then another 20 mins until you reach the town. Only becomes an use at night as it is pitch dark.
Would Deffo stay again though!
