I've eaten from them many times and the food was good and affordable but the last time I ordered a sausage sandwich they sent me fungus filled crusty sausage. I rushed to the cafeteria showed them what they have served they said it's like that because it's "very fried" I told them to show me the batch of sausage and he brought it and I could clearly see the fungus on it it was rotten. They were still denying that the sausage is rotten, the cook who prepared my meal was there too I asked them who cooked this he said it was him I'm like you're a cook right you tell me this is not ruined I could tell he's embarrassed but isn't gonna accept it so I just took videos and pictures of it and will be complaining about them. They are nice people but they are risking people's life and not doing their job right.

Worst service yet...I ordered fried rice and chilli chicken which costed 22 n it was so salty I had to throw it away ..I ordered chilly chicken with gravy n they sent dry fry which was 65 chicken .I think they don't know ...n when I asked them they said they don't have it n will send chicken curry gravy....think abt it to eat with fried rice ..worst behaviour...no interest in business...

Their Biriyani is great compared to other shops around and they deliver fast, if you are lucky a can come and greet you while waiting for your order ????

I park near the East entrance (top of Castle St) and walk up through through the arched entrance and up the forest path on the right (a worthwhile detour to Duns Law containing the Covenanters stone is well worth the time and extra altitude This marks the spot where, in 1639, General Sir Alexander Leslie and his Covenanter Army raised their standard. It is also possible to determine the outline the old Duns Law settlement and fort) continue through the woodland path and then down the hill across the field to the lake. It’s a lovely spot and a lot of dog walkers (like me) enjoy the woodland walks. Avoid the castle ground as it is private. Beware: some paths (eg Colonel’s walk) are still blocked by fallen trees post Storm Arwen!! but the estate has made great inroads in clearing up after the storm. Highly recommend.

There are not enough words to say thank you to everyone at Duns Castle for our wedding day. It could not have been more special and memorable. The venue speaks for itself, every corner has something beautiful to look at from the architecture to the decor. The organisation, communication, flexibility, kindness was much appreciated. We love how intimate the wedding was and all our guests loved Mr & Mrs Hay! Most special place and we will be sure to visit again!

Nice country estate which allows access for walks or horse riding, no vehicle access unless on estate business. Duck pond (no feeding bread to the ducks, it's not healthy).
