If your house is directly on the shore, it feels like you are on a boat. The tidal stream even gives you impression of sailing.

Absolutely breathtaking views from this beautiful lodge Gunnera. Mike and family were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you available incl. barbecues, washing machine room, fishing equipment etc. It was so lovely and the island and locals were so nice. Definitely be back ❤️⭐️⭐️

Just had a week in a caravan on the waters edge. Fantastic quiet location. Lots of wildlife. Dolphins and seals swimming right in front of the caravan. Otters fishing and eating shellfish on the rocks. Saw a golden eagle fly over and red deer across the water.
The caravan and site are very well looked after and well equipped. Highly recommend.

Just spent a week here and can honestly say that it was the most relaxing and stress free holiday ever. The caravans are very well appointed with everything you need for a self catering holiday. They are all positioned with fantastic views across Cuan Sound.
There is a TV with Freesat, a DVD player and a Bothy with a plethora of DVDs to choose from. There are also washing and drying facilities in the Bothy if needed. Mike and Jenn are the perfect hosts and make you very welcome, and are on hand if you need any help. They also welcome Dogs which is a bonus.
The island itself is very quiet, with very little traffic, and is reached by a small ferry running a fairly regular service during the day.
There is a small post office with a fairly well stocked shop situated near Cullipool open Mon - Sat 11 while 4, and the Atlantic Islands Visitor Centre further into the village open Weds to Sun, providing meals/snacks and drinks along with information about the 'Slate Islands (of which Luing is one), and a range of Gifts and Books.
The island offers plenty in the way of walking/hiking, offering fantastic views in all directions, and plenty of wildlife to boot.
The site, being less than one minute from the ferry (if it was any closer, it would be on the slipway!) makes it an ideal base for exploring not just the Isle of Luing, but also Siel and the mainland.
Cannot recommend this place enough.

Rented bikes here to see the island. Jen and Mike were lovely and the bikes were really good with nice thick tires for the roads!
Accommodation looked lovely but didn't stay here.

Just returned from a fantastic week on Luing. Sunnybrae is a lovely peaceful and relaxing place to stay and recharge the batteries with stunning views. Some good walks around the island as well as places to visit a short hop away by the ferry (don't forget to be back by 6). Our caravan (Heron) was well equipped and spotless and in an ideal spot for sitting and watching the world go by.

We went here for a week for our wedding anniversary. We had never been before but will definitely be going back. The owners are very nice, the caravan was lovely, and the views are stunning. It was probably the best break we've had. It is on a separate island (Luing)accessed only by a small ferry, but don't let that put you off it absolutely beautiful. We just didn't want to leave.

Second time we've been to Sunnybrae. We love it, the children love "the island". Peaceful place that makes the rest of the world seem to disappear. Caravans are well equipped and considerately spaced so everyone catches the view. Lots of nature to appreciate and respect. Site owners are easy going and helpful.
