Yes you can only pay by cash and need the exact change at the machine. But plenty of spaces and very cheap. There is a machine on every floor level. You pay on exiting so if you need cash, just walk through the shopping centre and at street level there are lots of bank branches and ATMs - it’s a 5min walk at stroll pace.

Utterly ridiculous that in 2023 there is a car park where the ONLY option is to pay in cash. No change either, just correct money. The Orchard car park is next door to the Orchard Theatre in Dartford and also serves a shopping centre. Pretty sure it's constantly busy. But it would seem that either the private owners or council can't be bothered to invest in a cashless system. Very very poor.

If you read this, the nearest cash point is over the bridge by Dartford Station and THEN you need to get change.

Nice price in the Orchard Centre in dartford nice very accessible for disabled people on scooters or wheelchairs, but it's overpriced for the quality of the goods on sale.
Not so friendly staff, always look suicidal.

I don't have a problem with there being no alternative to paying cash - much better than being forced to use confusing apps when you don't even want to have a smartphone. However, the lack of payment points is pathetic. After a recent visit to the Orchard Theatre, our afternoon was ruined when I had first to queue for 20 minutes just to pay at the car park, and then it took 50 (yes, 50) minutes to get out of the car park. The traffic was completely gridlocked in the town centre, and the cars leaving the car park all funnel into one exit, so everyone was just sitting there fuming. Dartford Council will have to pay a lot of attention to infrastructure if the town is ever to revive. I certainly do not intend to visit the Orchard Theatre ever again.

After a show at the Orchard Theatre today what followed at the car park was utterly ridiculous!
The queue to pay for the parking ticket took 20 minutes. The machine only accepts cash(in this day and age!!)
If wouldn't take that much effort to put some machines in the theatre lobby or offer more machines in the car park.
But this is typical of the mentality shown by those supposedly in charge.
I won't be going back along with several others in the queue.
No wonder the town is dieing on its feet!

An ok local shopping centre. Some of the staff in some shops seem cliquey, but that is down to the stores themselves. Better parking value than The Priory, but can be a squeeze at times. Another place that has fallen foul to the local chav demographic. Seems like the police are always in and out of their doors. Never fills anyone with much confidence, but with the local anti-social issue, not surprising.

Getting worse every week we're out of the pandemic.

Orchards parking team force the gym staff to chain up the fire/access doors on the first floor. This means if you park there, and then staff chain the doors, then theres a long walk to your car and your parking may expire by then, or worse, the side door to access the building out of hours jams and you're locked in until someone types their PIN from the outside.

(Dont get me started on the fact that its also it's a safety/fire hazard... but still no meaningful response from the orchards team)

Secondly the parking team essentially do whatever they want, including switching off the entrance barrier as they please so you cant even access the gym in the first place!

They say aldi carpark is available but it only offers 1.5hr free and many gym users joined on the premise of 2hrs free parking. Theres no leeway in Aldi carpark without getting a £70 fine! You cant just pay for extra time there.

If the multistorey carpark isnt full and the gym has a contract with the facility, why deny users? Because you cant be bothered?

I love the Gym here but the Orchards parking team just seem incompetent and lazy. They make the experience frustrating and their management doesnt seem to care. People just want to use the gym in peace.

If I could get 0 star for this worst car par ever I been in my life. You must have a coin to pay ridiculous amount of £3 just for 5 minutes on Sunday after 4 o’clock. Will never go there again and will not recommend anyone.
