Both our children attended Essendene Lodge School from preschool. The school work hard to create a supportive, family atmosphere where each child is valued for who they are and each child understands that they are part of a school, local and international community where they can use their talents to make a difference. The teachers know the children well and help to ensure their learning is tailored to their individual needs. But most importantly, both our children have both loved their time there and will have happy memories of school!

Essendene Lodge School is the best foundation in education we have given to our children. My boys are always so happy to go into school and I attribute this to the outstanding level of teaching, care and nurturing provided by the Essendene team. The staff are dedicated, professional and more importantly attend to each child’s needs individually, caring above and beyond.
I would highly recommend this wonderful school to parents.

Essendene is a fantastic school that has been a life saver as working parents. Both our boys started the term they turned 3 and our eldest has just started secondary school and settled in very well. They both benefited from the fantastic pastoral and wrap around care, knowing this means I don't worry whilst at work. Our boys are very different in character and Essendene has given them both the support they need to grow and excel. I would recommend this fantastic school to any parent, the teachers and the Essendene team go above and beyond. Thank you

Essendene lodge school has succeeded in creating a wonderful, family environment in which each child is recognised for their own unique qualities. As it’s a small community, children from the nursery to Year 6 know each other well. The small class sizes enable adequate time and attention to be given to each child, which is specifically tailored to their individual needs. Children are encouraged to fulfil their own potential and explore new things. Additionally I’m delighted by how extremely prompt the teachers are in responding to any email queries I may have and do with extensive detail.

Our son started nursery here and his development was accelerated. When we took him out to send him somewhere else for reception and year 1 we noticed his learning slowed down and wasn’t developing at the same rate as Essendene. We sent him back to Essendene in year 2 and are so proud of his results and performance. This is down to the wonderful team at Essendene Lodge School. They bring the best out of Children and Accelerate their development. Thank you to the teachers at Essendene Lodge. ????????????

Our 3 young children LOVE Essendene Lodge School – from the teachers to their fellow students to the varied curriculum. The teaching standards are high but the most important facet of the school is the importance it places on values, wellbeing and providing a nurturing environment for all kids.

Being a small school, it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio and giving children more opportunities to take on positions of responsibility, developing confidence from an early age and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers.

The teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed, recognizing their good behaviors and achievements; and creating a positive school experience.

Excellent team – excellent school!

My son George started at Essendene Lodge last September, 2021. He is having a fantastic time. We needed to find a school with a very thorough curriculum that included after school clubs and exam prep classes. The teachers go out of their way to keep parents informed on children's academic progress; this is so important as many secondary schools have 11+ tests which need to be passed well- the pass mark is set at a high bar. I am confident that George has received excellent help in all subject areas. Some schools only give limited homework (for example reading and spellings only). In my view, it's great for children to get used to receiving more homework and have the best chance of beating the competition in exams. Some parents work all day and only want the best for their children, it's so reassuring to know they are in the most helpful school environment possible. I am really happy that after school clubs include a mix of academic and creative clubs. George particularly likes chess and coding club but also enjoys drama and sports club. Mrs. Ali and Mr. Hodgkiss particularly have been brilliant at school- both for the children and for parents. I was so impressed to hear about all the fundraising Mrs. Ali had achieved to help their partner school in Africa including setting up a clean water supply. Children are also helping with fund-raising and parents. The parents I've met have been really kind and welcoming. Mr. Hodgkiss has gone out of his way to give me information on George's progress. Essendene Lodge have great opportunities when it comes to sport- they spent last term swimming and playing football or netball against other schools. This term they are playing rugby and George also was taught lacrosse. Essendene Lodge use the amazing leisure facilities at DeStafford School which is only a short walk away. There is no bullying, children are so polite and happy. George is looking forward to the many school trips planned and has already had a brilliant trip into London. The children also had their own Parliamentary debate on whether families should be restricted to one car per family. Essendene Lodge is a fantastic school which I highly recommend.

Essendene Lodge School provides a caring environment where children are encouraged and nurtured. Both our boys are learning at their own pace and throughly enjoy learning and school. The school provides a traditional education with learning which goes beyond just the academic.
