I haven't used the service so I am unable to give a review of the full process but the customer service is very poor.
I checked availability on the website and called to confirm to hire a car, as I was looking for last minute hire, understandably there was nothing available, however the receptionist/advisor, abruptly ended the conversation and hung up on me before I was able to ask any of my other queries. I called back to ask my question 'when is the next weekend availability?' And her reply 'I don't know, sometime next week, thanks bye'.
Thrifty, it seems some re-training is required...

DO NOT USE!!!
Never had such bad customer service. Was meant to pick up a car on Friday - took the afternoon off work. Rung up at lunch time and they knew nothing about the car been delivered from Leeds. Waited around all afternoon for the car to be delivered it finally arrived at 5:15. To then have the manager say they have been locked out and can’t take the payment today!!! Was then told we could pick the car up Monday instead so we agreed to this to then receive an E-MAIL to say the contract has been terminated. Not even a phone call! The reason being concerns over third party involvement? After passing all checks and insurance been confirmed for just me and my mum. Tried ringing Thrifty Hull countless times to speak to Debbie the manager and all we’ve had all day is Debbie is busy or Debbie has now gone home - disgusting! Now waiting for a £900 deposit we paid to be refunded which we was told would be in my account in a couple of hours now it’s changed to 5 working days!! AVOID AVOID AVOID

Bit long winded. Receptions a tad tatty. Cars are super. Plenty of options. But be patient when ringing. There moto seems to be "I'll just put you on hold".

You have to be rich to rent a car or van from Thrifty A standered Corsa 1.2 would cost you 110pound a day plus a 250 to 500 deposit ???? To rent a range rover like this your talking £1287.07 for a week And a 2500 deposit

I have used this car hire many times for renting a car up to 8 weeks. Didn't use to have a problem except the last three times I have hired they have asked me to take the car back in and change it for another one and even had one sold underneath me during my contracts hire time and had to go and take that back ! Really annoying having to waste your time and petrol to do this. I am not sure it is legal for them to rent you a vehicle with a contract then suddenly demand it back. Won't be using them again as fed up with it

I had to pick the car up from the dealership as they wouldn't deliver, long waiting times in a call centre, staff were very quick to get you out without helping. The final cherry on the cake was I called up the call centre to say that although I'd put £35 of fuel in to a tank that was over a quarter full already it wasn't quite a full tank and I'd used fuel driving home and the lady in the call centre said this was fine- but then they charged me £22 anyway!

Second time in two weeks they tried to take money from the deposit! One for a chip on the front alloy, identified before we took the car then on return they couldn't find it recorded. They had to call the guy who gave us the car to verify. Second attempt they wanted £45 to valet the car after finding some dog hairs! Shame on you Thrifty! Will return to Enterprise, much better service!

The service was great and the car was fine - BUT... they took a £150 deposit which should have been refunded with 5 days and it's now 20 days. I didn't really understand why they were taking a deposit in the first place and I can' fathom why they have held onto it when the agent where I dropped it off said it would come straight back to me.
