Haulier collecting the never ending green trays... .. . Loader/Paperwork dudes are spot on. Always have a smile working together nothing too much trouble. Opinion...they need a swanky little temp office building. They deserve it. Many thanks.

As this is my final week working for George Allinsons i thought of writing a review. Were do i start
Whilst working for Allinsons has been a real eye opener to how they treat the staff. Ok job to get your experience eg (new driver). This company do not reward loyaltly or punctuality. There sole interest is money and dont take into consideration drivers wellbeing.

I have worked here for over 3 years now and not all has been bad granted. When you are trying to progress into a different job role (apprenticeship)with in the company and told there is a job available. To then turn round 3 days before i was due to fly to florida for 3 weeks that the job wasnt there anymore due to work load within the garage. This in my opinion is bad man management. I was then also told that due to the new wagons being on service plans this was a contributing factor. Surely being a logistics company this would have been known 1 year ago when they started receiving delivery for new wagons.
I have also had 2 pay rises in over 3 years here one being when there was a driver shortage. They advertise (we lead the way in wages). Currently in this area class 2 jobs are paid £13 an hour i am payed £11.75. In this day age we live in this is a very poor rate. I have worked on both sides the palletforce and haulage (Tramping) both are pushed to the limit with minimal time for breaks. Advertised as job and knock you finish your deliverys and collections on the palletforce side. We are then expected to do haulage work just to fill your time in.
To be honest i never believed reviews and always take company's on personal experience. This has definitely opened my eyes to this.

I would advise any driver to steer clear of this company. I worked for them for a week and a day. I injured my back on the Monday and told them I would stay and battle on till the end of my shift! I should have just dumped it as they have deducted money off my wages and don’t think I will ever see my money for that shift I did on the second week! Should give you the option of no stars as that is what I would rate them!!

For those that don't know what happened.
A driver done a week's work for the company and after one week, decided that the job wasn't the right fit for him, so George Allinson Tfansport decided to deduct £600 as an insufficient notice penalty.
Left him with £8.80 to support his family for the week. de

Refused to pay me took to acas admitted they owed me tribunal are going to resolve

Updated they sent me a letter threatening me over these reviews so slightly changed

Fred the “legal man” also lied on first day when I asked about the bad reviews

Just had a driver heading south on the A66 in a scania topline try to threaten me by driving head on towards my artic. 10.45am 19.04.2021, as I let a tractor out at a junction. Their drivers must be under a lot of pressure to be unable to spare 20 seconds, then feel they need to threaten other peoples lives, not good.

Came to deliver products no one had a clue,eventually found someone who knew what I was bringing in and was told to wait in truck after 2hrs of waiting was told would be at least another hour until someone could see to me..this is disgusting. They don't seem to be bothered about anyone else trying to make a living ,I would have been better served by a bunch of chimpanzees.......
