overall a nice day out and great when the weather is good. visiting the animals was fun and watching the falconry display was very interesting. the otter feeding event / talk was not as displayed, we just watched a member of staff throw the food to them and when asked questions from others, received one word replies from the staff member. the water park is great fun and was the perfect end to a hot day. prices of drinks is a bit ridiculous, food was adequate but nothing amazing for the price. overall a fun day out if you have smaller kids but other than that i wouldn’t pay the entry price again

Enjoyable small theme park. Good for entertaining up to 10 year olds for a few hours. A good variety of things to do. Several rides a small farm area, indoor play areas and cafe as well as lots of outdoor play areas. A new and big splash park area was great.Good experience overall. Some facilities/toilets were a little run down, no hand dryer working in one of the toilets and the cubicle was locked with no sign on the door to indicate that is was broken.
Plenty of places to have a picnic and a only a short walk to the car to get it. There were also plenty of cafes serving the normal hot dogs / burgers chips etc. Some side attractions had a small extra charge, climbing wall for example was £2.95 but there were no signs to explain that it was chargeable which would have been helpful.
Overall a good day out. If you have kids slightly older than 10 I would suggest wheelgates sister park Twinlakes, near Melton Mowbery.

Love this place! The only reason it doesn't get 5 Star is because of what they charge for food and accessories. 2 Magnums and a Smarties ice cream £10, you could buy 3 boxes for that price.

Anyway, if you find yourself going to Wheelgate Park I would say definitely take a packed lunch and a flask.

The rest of the park is fine a little dated in parts but kids don't care and have an amazing time. The water park is a cool feature but again make sure you take a swim suit if your planning on going in with the kids a swim ware is pricey to bug there and the quality sucks.

Wheelgate you could sell things at half the price and make money still £27 for a towel and swimwear is daylight robbery.

The park itself is really fun and your kids will love it 100%.

The Disney princesses show was amazing! God they were worth the entry fee alone, my little girl thought they were simply amazing. They entertained the kids perfectly and had amazing voices so well done booking them.

Great day out with the grandkids. Well spread out with lots to see and do in doors and out doors. We spent 7 hours there and didn't see it do everything available. Fab on a nice day and if you get caught by a shower plenty of indoor areas to dive into but you might struggle to get the kids out. The water area is really good on a nice day. Bit cold at Easter but didn't stop a lot of kids going in.

What an absolute gem of a place. Rides, play areas, copious amounts of animals, massive water play castle with plenty of slides. This is a fantasic day out.

We loved every single minute of it.

The only downside is that (at the time of writing this review) you are only allowed an hour in the water park area and it has to be booked when buying tickets. While there is no extra charge, if you don't add to your booking, you can't just use it when you go there.

We went today with my partner and 5y old, we had an amazing time ! We booked tickets online 1h before arriving, it was easy and convenient. The park is well kept, staff was OK, queues not too long , wonderful place really. Huge parking and loads to do all day!

We had a wonderful day out. I explained we would only be doing outdoor activities and had a wonderful 6 hours, carving scary pumpkins, (Horse) Unicorn rides, bumper boats, assault course, crazy golf, slides, other auto rides, pedal go karts, trampoline, runaway train and maze. We took a picnic. Later in the day we went up to the animal barns these were empty, so masks on we took a peek at the animals.
The only "ouch" of the day I had to pay adult price for a 5 year old. He is tall for his age, but still only 5 years old.
Even Grandma's & Grandpa's who are much taller payed less!! There is a guide line and 5 year olds can be on or above the line, meaning full price.

Fun day out for the kids. Waterpark is great and included in the price, but needs to be a sunny day to use. The pigs had very little straw to lay on in their concrete enclosure ???? The tropical house was rubbish compared to years ago, had to shut the door behind you as there would be butterflies loose inside. The only things in there now are fish, dirty, smelly water and overgrown plants.
Typical pricy fast food available in the onsite cafes but very nice. Coffee surprisingly good too.
Staff all nice and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
