Great company, good communication from start to finish . Clean bus, Jamie our driver was very friendly and helpful nothing was too much bother Would definitely book again .

Honestly I read the reviews and I was worried.

But when the day came they did not let me down once. They even (the night before) added another journey from the hotel to the venue.

Great comms, great price and the mini buses are really modern and comfy.

My guests were super happy. And I could not recommend Dave and his team highly enough!

Quoted me over the phone which I was more than happy with, asked for the booking to be confirmed over text but then point blank ignored me - too the point of ignoring phone calls etc. my friend called and was answered straight away - would not recommend

Grimsby Minibuses were absolutely fantastic. We booked though SMC Coach Hire (booking agent) who seriously let us down. Dave at Grimsby Minibuses was an absolute hero and came to our rescue. The booking agent had only booked an 8 seater despite us booking a 12 seater. Grimsby Minibuses agreed to supply a luxury 19 seater minibus to help us out - a lovely vehicle with a great driver. I would definitely recommend Grimsby Minibuses (but not SMC Coach Hire!)

Booked them for a hen do to Liverpool and it was a nightmare journey from the get-go. We were supposed to depart at 11:30 but were informed at 11:22 that the driver was delayed by half an hour due to a late arrival of a flight, which wasn’t ideal but we understood that these things happen. Half an hour passed and he still hadn’t arrived, so I text the owner and asked what time he thought the driver would get to us to which he replied ‘Give him a call.’ (All of his texts were very short and abrupt and lacked any customer service skills). The driver arrived around 12:20. There was no boot so luggage had to be crammed in on seats, which weren’t strapped down and fell off a few times.

The driver informed us that he needed a 10 min break before setting off because he’d been up early. We’d booked the minibus in February and at no point between then and now were we told that he had a job before us and would need rest breaks. The driver then took me aside and told me that we would also have to stop to change buses! Again no mention of this when booking.

We FINALLY set off over an hour behind schedule. At this point we were all stressed and panicking that we were going to miss our first activity and wouldn’t have time to get ready. I decided to text Dave and inform him that we really weren’t happy and that we didn’t feel comfortable paying the agreed price considering how unorganised the start of the journey had been. He couldn’t have been more unbothered in his response if he’d tried and even went as far to try and blame us by saying ‘I wasn’t informed you had to be there for a certain time’. I thought 5 hours would have been plenty of time to get there and get ready, plus he never asked me if we needed to be there for a certain time. It’s his business, not mine. I provided him with all the information he asked. What did he think 13 girls on a hen do were going to do in Liverpool, just sit in our hotel rooms?

To make matters worse, the driver decided to pull into a service station after an hour without communicating to us what was happening. As people got up he broke the news that he now needed to take an additional half hour break! Not once was this mentioned before we set off – lack of communication again. We all voiced how utterly disappointed we were and the driver told us to take it up with Dave the owner. Dave decided to ignore our texts and even calls (apparently he was in Cyprus, but managed to call the driver numerous times)

At this point the Satnav was saying we wouldn’t get there until 5pm and our activity started at 6pm (we also need to get ourselves ready). We asked the driver politely if he could drop us at our hotel before changing the bus (as the bus was being changed just outside of Liverpool) which he flat out refused to do. If they wanted to rectify the situation in any way, they could have done the decent thing and dropped us off first.
When we got on the other bus it was filthy. Mud everywhere and squashed food on the seats/floor. It was a smaller bus, again no boot, luggage fell off again and the air con was rubbish. When it sunk in that we were probably going to have 20 minutes to get ready once we’d arrived we decided to start getting ready on the boiling hot bus.

We arrived at our hotel at around 5:05pm. The driver was extremely rude, even clapped in my face whilst saying ‘I need the money’ and basically threatened to leave us in Liverpool. The driver informed me that Dave had spoken to him (yet ignored our texts and calls) and said that he would take just £15 off!

The sheer lack of communication and the rudeness made the whole situation that much worse. I was left feeling embarrassed. I’m not sure how anyone can run a successful business like that. We will be warning our friends and family to avoid them at all costs. If you are planning a journey somewhere, spend a bit extra and go with a reliable company who cares about their customers.

Wow this company is brilliant cannot fault them , from start to finish was great our driver was amazing she made the journey enjoyable and stopped whenever we needed to , definitely will use this company again the mini bus was lovely and the price was reasonable

Unprofessional, rude, late, unclean, basically dont use if you want to get somewhere on time- you may also be left wondering if they'll pick you back up or not, which is always fun. Driver on the phone when driving, suitcases falling all over, so if safety is high up on your list, I wouldn't bother booking.
