Decided to grab a later dinner after visiting Inverness and stopped here. We weren’t expecting many options for 8pm, let alone good options but the Letter Box far exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing and everything tasted homemade. Will definitely come back when we visit Scotland again.

The food was amazing. We had a number of different starters but the best was the Haggis in phyllo pastry. For mains, I had the lamb shank and can say it was one of the best lamb I’ve had in a long time. All mains were delicious. You must end the night with the banoffee pavlova, it’s to die for. Thanks Cara, our fantastic server for an awesome night.

Delicious food, well worth the extra few pounds if you want something a bit special.
Great vegan options, or superb chunks of meat, with brilliantly complementing sides.

My partner and I very much enjoyed dinner at Letterbox. There were so many lovely sounding dishes to choose from and our meals were so tasty!

We had a friendly chat to the owner after our meal chatting about our trip and his trips past. A great experience all round. We would visit again and again if we lived in the area!

Love restaurant locate in the centre of Newtonmore town. Beautiful cooked food with a lot of the meat sourced locally. A more upmarket meal with higher prices than the rest of town but for the service and high quality food it's certainly worth the extra cost. Highly recommend for a romantic evening out

Absolutely sensational birthday meal at the Letter box. Had starters, main and a bottle of wine for about £40 each. Well worth every penny. The fillet steak and chicken both extra noteworthy. Wine choice was also excellent and the owner was a lovely guy.

Takes cash only but there is an ATM (charges) just across the road. Well worth getting cash out for it, you won't regret it!
