we just had a lovely lunch with best ever home made chips, brilliant service very friendly, and a proper traditional pub, really worth a visit.

The very best Fish and Chips, in Nottinghamshire, without question. Additionally, there is a very varied Menu. The host Mel and his wife have an excellent establishment, with a happy and healthy atmosphere. There was a raging fire excellent at this time of the year. The Beer also went down very well. I recommend a visit to this rural pub and the Food Prices are sensible.
Give it a try you will not be disappointed ☺️.

A traditional village pub with a friendly welcome and great food. We ordered the sirloin steak and it was to die for, sirloin can sometimes be a bit chewy but this was tender, lean and perfectly cooked just the way we asked for it, with proper homemade “scrappy” chips. On a Tuesday lunchtime there was a steady flow of customers, many of whom were locals “in the know”. Hardly surprising! We’ll definitely be back!

Really good food, limited selection on tap due to size of bar but very reasonably priced. Small pool room.
