What a fantastic nature reserve this has become as it's now fully established. Plus you can get there on a cycle track from Collingham Trent Lane. Well worth a visit to observe the nature or have a simple peaceful walk.

Easy to find, rough dirt track to get to it with lots of pot holes. Once parked up, paths easy enough to find and follow. Barely saw anybody in the two hours I was there, which is exactly how I wanted it. If you are there for bird photography, a long lens will be needed.

Stunning nature reserve situated on the banks of the River Trent just north of Newark. There are some lovely walks at the site where you can enjoy breathtaking views across the pools on offer which are even better on a summer's evening.There is a lovely picturesque walk along the Trent where you can relax and enjoy breathtaking views. It is amazing that this place was a former Gravel Pit and it shows what can be achieved through the work of good conservation and The Wildlife Trust has done an excellent. Walking around the site takes between 1-2 hours but is worth it with the views and wildlife on offer. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy a beautiful walk with some breathtaking views.

Wonderful location that attracts an abundance wildlife. The car park leads to several paths that give great views over the main bodies of water within the reserve. Many of the paths are public footpaths which are well laid and level.
A great place for either a short visit or a more lengthy one enjoying great views of flora and fauna.

We go to this reserve quite a bit, it is a short walk to the first of two hides from the car parking area, the hide is a reasonably new one but is open at the viewing area so if it's windy you get the full force of it , so need to be well wrapped up. But well worth it.
Also there is no toilet

Very nice reserve with walks through and around it. Good hides and information posted. Limited parking down bumpy lanes. No facilities, ie. Toilets or cafe. Very relaxing place to spend a couple of hours to see a surprising different number of birds.
