Cracking little spot for stopover in y motorhome, gates are locked overnight, so u feel safer, no services but toilets r just a short walk away,

Good location for a visit to Carlisle. Large Campervan spaces available. £3.60 for 24 hours. If you are staying over night the train line can be a little noisy

Motorhome parking available. Free at the weekend. Car park locked 8pm to 6.30am. Can stay overnight. 3 of us in last night. Quiet. Trains stop overnight. Good aire. No facilities

Came for the Carlisle Castle on our way south. Just had limited time, so we chose this: the closest and official carpark of the castle.
It is pretty big, has lots of bays. Big enough for SUVs as well. And a section for RVs and tourbusses. Fees are reasonable. And there are plenty of spots in the shade (for hot days). Just a quick walk away from the historically important castle.

Easy, safe, convenient.

Good large car park,but can still get full. It is a bit of a walk between 5 -10 mins to shopping centre

It's a car park that is big and empty. So easy to find a space and easy to get to the castle.
The machine we used to get the ticket was a pain because the sun light was so bright you could not read what to do. Great for walks to the town or by the river, following hadrians walk trail.
