Delamere forest is a beautiful place to take the dogs for a walk. There are many different trails that you can take, most of them lead around in a big circle so you will always end back at the carpark you left.

There are many small car parks available around the forest. Many of them are free to use. They have stone and dirt paths to them so I would highly recommend slowing down to not damage your car.

There are many dog bins dotted around and some small stop of points with a bench from time to time. It is a lovely relaxing walk and you are able to see some beautiful animals area too.

Everyone we bumped into was extremely friendly and this went for all the dogs we met too. Feels lovely to be outdoors for awhile.

Great place to walk the dog and there is free car parking if you know where to look. There seems to be something for everyone, bike trails and foot trails.

Madness concert in the forest ,parking queuing, getting in, facilties all brilliant .
Nightmare .....getting out 1hr 20 to get to main road but concert made it worthwhile ????

Nice woodland. Expected a bit more from the size of the place in all honesty. We walked with buggy and visited cafe & toilet stop.
Cafe was slightly below ok. Have left a review under cafe with details.

Would like to see tramper hire here and slightly better signage from the new car park just to point people in the direction of the walks/woodland.
We walked the red route but it felt a bit like a highway (we visited in low season end September). Realise e-trikes wouldn’t help this but we did the longest signed route thinking it would take us away from it all a bit but didn’t get anywhere quiet/peaceful as such.
Would have liked a signposted longer walk option maybe to feel more of an escape.

Children’s play areas (den making) within woodland.

Lots of dogs off leads so natural increased risk of poo!

The place is big and does the job but not much in way of education, interest or natural beauty.

Looks stunning especially during the Christmas period with all the lights on we went for a walk around the forest, loads of routes to take so you can make the walk as long or as little as you want. Dogs enjoyed themselves and so did we great day out.

Excellent place for a walk. Perfect for children, families and also dog friendly. Lovely views, lots of birds and squirrels. Took us around 2.5 hrs to walk around the lake????. Carpark price was £2u003d1hr / 4£u003dup to 3hrs .... There is a nice coffee shop. Prices a bit high in my opinion, so might want to take a picnic with you... It had a nice and clean toilet. Can rent bikes, and there is a Go Ape...

The forest is massive, so be aware of were you parked. Can get lost easily.

Have been to Delamere Forest several times over the years, but not been for a while. Wow, what happened at the Visitor Centre? There's this huge car park (£8 apparently! Go by train!) and vast new Visitor Centre. Didn't go in because we had four dogs with us, but I did take a picture for you.
The forest is popular. Even on a wet weekend in December, there was plenty of people around. The place is big enough to seek out the less frequented trails. It's pretty flat, and if you're well-wrapped up, and with sensible footwear (paths will be muddy in the wet) you'll be fine. The Forestry Commission like to put up lots of signs to warn you the forest is doing its best to try and kill you (rolling logs and falling trees), but don't let that put you off! It's a great place and well worth a visit.
