A beautiful aged cemetery,and a very tranquil place to sit and read. Well worth a walk round. I would say that,as I am local !!!

Church of old foundation, central to the rather spooky suburban locality which is more like a detached portion of South Essex than of Surrey as traditionally imagined. Impressive tower is C15th, the disproportionately small church is 1843 by the Irish architect John Macduff Derick, a rather poor thing in yellow London stock brick and in a Gothoid style. Inside, the best things are the ornate Jacobean pulpit and the finely and figuratively carved Lady Altar with reredos, which must have come from elsewhere. Impressive mural of the Risen Christ over the high altar.
