A really nice nature reserve right near home, went there the other day and saw quite a bit of nature, from some good wild flowers to willow warblers, song thrush and some linnets! It's a bit of a shame so many people use bits of it for quad biking and fun but I try and stay positive in that at least people do that stuff in the quarry bit which is like a big dessert.

I regularly attend this place to walk my two dogs.
It's large area with plenty of different routes to take.
Definitely wear trainers or walking boots.
Nice stream running through the middle, perfect for the dogs to stop and take a break.
Very peacful

Really nice reserve featuring a disused quarry and lots of trails to walk. There are some rare species of butterfly to spot as well as many birds. I find it just nice to walk around the quarry as there are some lovely views over the area. I have seen mountain bikers also riding the trails which looks great fun.

Only just discovered this nature park - enjoyed the walk round but sad it looks rather abandoned not many clear pathways and the entrance isn't very clear - maybe it'll look better in the spring.

I felt like I was in the wild west as soon as I got to the quarry bit. The town wasn't big enough for two and six rattlesnakes attacked me it was great I recommend

Not well maintained, desolate, overgrown bushes, isolated,no sign posts or proper trails.would hesitate to walk on my own there.

A wonderful Nature Reserve, it doesn't spoil you with well kept pathways and coffee shops. Retaining its natural beauty, No Toilets, No Car Park, (although it is next to a huge shopping complex as well as lots of supermarkets and cafés.

Sadly a lack of investment has seen it neglected, but locals in the area have been working hard to keep it accessible by pushing back the thorns from the trails a little, as well as regular clean ups.

Lucky enough to live next to the quarry, despite the increased development ruining the land nearby, this place has been a quite reserve for many local animals and people. It makes for a beautiful walk, one of which I've walked many times this past years. I've grown up playing in the quarry and loved every moment
