Great location in North York Moors. The Inn was ideal for walking enjoying the views & dare I say cycling if you like the hills. The hotel was clean and well serviced & the staff were fabulous. Very helpful always smiling & made it a pleasure to staff. The rooms were clean tidy & catered well for needs. The only small gripe was that although the hotel is dog friendly & there were dogs staying it’s a shame they were allowed to sit on the sofas and chairs in the bars & not made to sit on the floor. This affected my wife with allergies if we happen to sit on those sofas thereafter. Hence we couldn’t spend much time in those areas.

We were lucky enough to get a walk-in table on Easter Sunday for evening meal.
Really gorgeous food. I had the roast beef, my grand daughter had mussels. She absolutely loved her dish. A fabulous menu, I struggled to decide between about 5 choices.
Dog friendly & stout in bottles.
Really pleasant staff.
Will definitely return.

Stopped to have a drink here when we visited Goathland for a couple of hours. We sat outside so didn't see much of the inside. What we did see was pleasant, clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and the service was good. Considering it's a tourist trap, "Heartbeat" country and "Harry Potter", the prices were reasonable.

Superb welcoming pub with a great selection of ales at good prices. After visiting the horrendous establishment opposite, we decided to call in here and were glad we did. The atmosphere is great, staff are really friendly and the food and drink is fantastic. If you're visiting Goathland then the Inn on the Moor is very highly recommended.

Can't comment on the accommodation as we only went for dinner but great place and very Dog friendly. Staff were very welcoming and they had dog bowls and treats about-even with our big Newfoundland they found space for us to sit in the bar dining area. Decent variety on the menu and a whole page of veggie options which was brilliant. We had the mushroom stroganoff and Tofu Thai green curry and both were really tasty, as well their sticky toffee pudding which was yummy and thankfully not too sweet and sickly like some can be. Would definitely recommend ????

Great food and real ale. Service always very good. There's a part of this pub to suit everyone - quiet areas, open comfy chairs, tables and chairs near the bar, conservatory. It's a great place.

this is a great hotel it has a homely warm feeling to it as soon as you walk in. we booked it mainly for dogs and our dogs were treated like royalty. the rooms are spacious clean the food is excellent and the lounge area in a dream, for a open fire a beer and just to relax. the staff are great we left wanting to go back.

Just popped in here for a drink and a look around as friends mentioned it was good. Bar staff excellent, drink prices very good for the area. We decided to eat here so booked for dinner. The food was very good, well presented and reasonably priced. However, we were seated in the bar area where three local males were drinking. They were loud scruffy and used the F word quite frequently! Not really what we want to be around when trying to eat and talk to each other. Also, we were next to the pool table and a TV. What wonderful surroundings and we were put in the worst part of the hotel plus, dogs in the eating area? really? I am all for being dog friendly but I think we should have been given a choice of being in the restaurant where I am hoping dogs are not allowed?
