Great company to charter from. We had a sun Odessa 439 for a week this summer. The boat was immaculate, handover was very professional. Every question was answered in the handover video and skippers handbook. Most comprehensive handover And skippers handbook I have had whilst chartering. Can’t recommend highly enough! Thank you David and Julie we will be back!

Very helpful service from David, stocking up in their chandlery for week’s sail in Inner Hebrides. Checking against internet prices I can confirm they are very competitive!

Incredible service! I had a broken fresh water pump which happened just before I was expecting guests arriving on board! My search indicated that a replacement was not available in the UK. Finally came across ALBA Sailing at Dunstaffnage, and David at ALBA went the extra mile to source an alternative, which he had shipped from his supplier within the hour so that I could collect the next day!
Fabulous service! Would highly recommend, and will definitely use again!

Our family of five have just returned from an excellent week on Raphy G, at 46 feet, one of Alba Sailing’s bigger boats. We got as far as Skye and back, having overnight stops in Tobermory, Canna, Muck and Lochaline. Having only Day Skipper qualifications ourselves, we took our very competent and entertaining skipper Stuart Layton who not only improved our seamanship but sang songs and recited funny poems as he did it. The boat was excellent and David and Julie at Alba Sailing couldn’t do enough to make our trip outstanding.

I put 3 stars because I have mixed feelings about my experience: 5 stars for my previous trip with Alba Sailing in 2018, and 1 star this time (cancellation with the refund).

3 years ago it was one of the best sailing trips (5 stars) in my charter experience of 20+ trips and I booked another one 1 year later.
That was planned just when COVID started and we had to change the date 4 times during the next two years, as we were not allowed to get the refund. Recently the company offered to refund, as someone else wanted to rent the same boat for a longer period. We agreed, but unexpectedly got 200GBP less, because of 'banking and admin fees'. It was not communicated that we will receive less and I felt as I paid a hidden charge for just writing emails.
I hope this will change for a milder and more transparent cancellation conditions, which is especially valuable in the current circumstances of COVID-world.

Very disappointed that a refund / part refund or incentive to rebook was not offered depite our charter being cancelled due to the pandemic. Very short sighted and poor judgement on ALBA's behalf. Small gestures often go a long way!

Great service from David, Julie and Tim, helpful advice whenever we visit and they help in choosing the best product for the job and how to use it, where ever possible they try to price match lowest price, couldn't ask for more!
