Fab day out again. Been here many times with our five year old and friends, they love it. So much to explore and also the Gruffalo trail which had recently had new bits added. Huge cafe with a great selection of cakes, coffee, ice cream etc. Go ape is also on site which is great with older kids. Good place for building log dens and playing hide and seek. You can spend hours on the trails or wondering off them making your way.

£6 all day parking in a massive carpark, well marshalled and the toilets are clean and plentiful

They do have a good cake selection with a great choice of hot and cold beverages. Not to mention the variety of ice creams available.

The staff taking your order are the no eye contact type with no customer service skills at all. "Computer said noooo" springs to mind.

You do have to remind them they forgot things from your order, or they made the drink you didn't ask for.

Be best if they installed Ordering Kiosks. They get your order right.

£23 for 2 cheesy beans on toast, cake and coffee.

There's lots of empty tables to choose from, so finding a seat after a stressful ordering experience is welcomed.

The kitchen do take pride in their work. The food is actually really nice, Hot and fresh.

During our visit to Delamere forest we visit the café, its a modern facility and very spacious with good facilities near by such as toilet ????. It was very noisy, dogs ???? are allowed in with their owners. Regarding food ,quality average, however, prices are pretty high,I suppose its a captive market, and they must use the revenue to support the forest and other facilities. You can always take a packed lunch as picnic benches are outside. Overall its a good place to stop for refreshments although extremely busy and noisy.

I’ve been visiting Delamere for years and have watched it evolve to great heights. The new cafe has always offered great service and a lovely relaxing atmosphere, until today that is! I had a terrible experience with a member of staff over a cup of ice! This woman who I understand is the manager was screaming at staff and customers whilst I was in the queue. After I had ordered my drinks, my daughter decided she’d prefer her coffee iced. So, I returned to the counter and politely asked for a large cup of ice so that I could covert the hot coffee to an iced coffee. This lady restricted me to three cubes of ice, saying I couldn’t have any more! I explained that wasn’t enough to make the coffee iced, and she slammed a cup on the bar with just a few more cubes. She was so rude and her manner was so aggressive that I was very shocked. In fact , I was so taken back that I asked her what her name was? She ignored me, so I asked again and again. She turned to me and screamed GO AWAY!!! Honestly, I have never experienced such poor service and rudeness over a few ice cubes. This lady (with red hair) was just awful. I wanted to make a formal complaint. Her poor staff were terrified of her.

Noticed a change of staff on Coffee M/C for the better...
Today the Coffee was very good, nice and hot, well presented.
Swift polite service. Tables seam to be cleared and sanitised quickly after customers leave. Good atmosphere.

Poorly organised, some staff very slow especially the staff making the coffees. There was no urgency in making the drinks despite a long queue! Waiting time was quite unacceptable..my partner and I waited an extra long time due to the fact there is a ‘ticket system’ in place with orders passed from till operator to ‘barista’ ours went missing! The drinks themselves were average and cake (carrot) was ok. Not a great experience! It was busy but I myself have worked in an high volume café service environment and know it can be done!

Cafe itself is in a lovely new building. The food is perfectly fine. Staff weren't entirely clear what they were offering and the food seemed slightly over priced for what it was, but "did the job".

Strangely the fusli pasta is vegetarian, it just doesn't list it as such on the menu.

The forest is lovely to go for a walk around, with loads of paths of different lengths. Highly recommend a walk in the woods. Just not a place to go for just to visit the cafe.
