I'm giving this 3* for the views, which are stunning. We booked this place because it is described as romantic, but personally it isn't my idea of romantic at all. The "facilities" are ... functional.

We stayed in a motorhome so were down on a hard-standing area but sadly everything was very tired and I think with it being low season it's used more as a dumping ground.

There's steps down into the loch, and let's just say it wasn't the pleasantest way to wake up so see a gentleman swimming au-naturel.

Super beautiful camping site. Everything you need: fire pits, shower, toilet, shelter. Shower card for hot water is 1 pond, but it goes a long way. Sanitary is basic, but clean. Best way to start the day: jump of the pier into the sea. Friendly owners. We had no midges in mid July.

Amazing views that's where the good news ends... The rudest host we have ever encountered, this seemed to be the opinion of the others campers who were there also. She couldn't have made us feel more unwelcome. Camping facilities were disgusting. Do not book, go somewhere else in the area or wildcamp (it's cleaner).

I love this place, the most amazing views and the sea is so clear. Kayak around the bay or round the islands. It is possible to kayak to the Lord of the Isles pub but getting back might not be so easy. There is also an easy but rough path over beach and rocks to the pub just short of mile and the road just over a mile. Local boat tours from the harbour are busy. Miles of walks and Ardfern is only 2 miles over the hill with Lucy's cafe, Galley of the Lorne pub and a village shop.
Lunga camp site also has a horse riding school, an open sided shelter on the side of the bay with tables, chairs and firepits, a boat launch ramp, holiday homes dotted around the woods and along the shore. Colin Lindsey-MacDougall is the owner and it is worth looking up the MacDougall history linked with the area.

Very nice camping but very risky if you have a big motorhome (7.4m in our case). We got stuck in the mud. But finally found a solution. Amazing view !

Crystal clear water for snorkeling and paddleboarding, with loads of fish, porpoises, and beautiful sea grasses.
