Lot more expensive than its condition. No facility for wheelchair. There is a slide with way too much slope, you need 3 people to push to use that (no space for 3 people)

Handy car park, pay at meter, cash, app or website using vehicle registration number. Toilets, a gift shop and cafe are in the immediate area. It is a short but steep walk downhill to the sea front area of Staithes.

It's important to realise the car park is at the top of a very steep hill. Enough spaces and price ok. But lots of spaces muddy as parking on grass and the machine only takes cash. Otherwise it's another app to pay, which charges extra to use it.

Awful parking regime at Staithes. Staithes is beautiful, so it’s easy to lose track of time… don’t relax or spend too much time in the shops as we did… you’ll have a vertical hill to run back up (kids and elderly parents in tow?) when you realise your parking ticket is going to expire… when you get home your lasting memory of beautiful Staithes will be the £60-100 parking fine waiting on your door mat. Our parking ticket had expired 11 minutes before we left. Our fault, our mistake, banged to rights. But I’ll never go back - £60 for 11 minutes? The regime is awful.

IPARK Services carpark fined us £100 for being 10 mins late back (footpath closed so we had to find another way hence being late) we even paid for an extra hour when we got back to the car to make it right but they showed no discretion and pushed for the full fine. Tried using their online service but it didn't work. There is a Council car park is next door, I would park there from now on. BEWARE

Park here at your peril! There are actually 2 separate car parks. One is the council car park and the other is ran by I-Park services. We've just returned home to a fine for using the I-Park one. The renter of the cottage provided us a pass which gave us free parking but unfortunately this was for the council car park. It's almost impossible to work out which is which but I would say that if you are parking on grass you're in the I-Park one and to get out as fast as you can. Really poor and a terrible end to a great holiday. Won't be visiting Staithes again.

DO NOT PARK HERE, IT WILL BE A MASSIVE MISTAKE.
I am passing on this info following my own bitter experience of this carpark and the operator I-Park.

I paid via the machine because the website method is slow, not helped by poor phone signal.

I paid £3 for 2 hours, the machine is configured to scam you, by asking you to put 1 coin in before adding your car reg.

What I didn't realise is the machine will take your remaining coins but it won't register on your ticket.

I was Fined £100 for not paying fast enough due to the time it took (12 minutes) to mess around with their website, and £100 for the machine conning me.

I saw I guy complain to a carparking attendant, and he told me his car was "keyed" later.

To be Honest STAITHES isn't worth the standard parking fee anyway, and all the shops are rip off joints too

But if you love stagnant rivers and high prices then STAITHES is your place.

I also walked past the window of a pub which served food and saw a guy in the pub kitchen spit onto someone's food, which him and his mate thought was hilarious as he said that will teach them

YOU WONT KNOW ABOUT YOUR PARKING FINE UNTIL YOU GET HOME WITH A NICE WELCOMING PARKING FINE LETTER WAITING FOR YOU.

Was told we could park here off season by the owner of a holiday cottage we rented. Almost four months later we get a £160 fine for the privilege. No doubt there was some sign we missed but it's a shame such a nice little place like Staithes have to resort to using money grabbing scumbags like I Park Services Limited.

Was OK, the parking system may be difficult for mentally challenged people as what appears to be one car park is actually two. The problem is that you could purchase tickets for the wrong car park which are run by two different companies.
