Lovely rooms. Clean and a really good size. Parking easily located opposite. A fresh breakfast cooked and taste great. Great service off course as well

Having spent most of the past 12 months living out of various hotels for work, The Linden was easily the best value for money room I have stayed in over this time. The bed and shower were by far the best I've encountered in a hotel and far superior to those in rooms that have been £300+ in chain hotels. Great location and near to the airport as well. Everyone was very welcoming and the breakfast was plentiful and good quality.

This is the Best stay if you are în between flight and you want to be close to Stansted airport.

We stayed a night at the Linden. Here are my overall thoughts: Decor and design of the whole facility is beautiful and has a great vibe!

The room; we stayed in the top level room, which had terribly small stairs, there isn’t any air conditioning, so we were super hot. If you keep the windows open the car noise from the street is unbearable. They provided us with a industrial style fan which was SUPER loud. I did not sleep at all as we were uncomfortable all night.

The room had a wet plant smell: maybe moisture? Not sure.

Bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly, toilette was dirty, the floors had dust and hair on them. Big turn off. There also was a lot of spider webs in our room.

We had breakfast in the morning, it wasn’t so bad, but I got poached eggs that were extremely over cooked.

I really wish our experience was better. This hotel has insane amount of potential if a bit more effort was put in!

Nonetheless the staff is super nice and welcoming!

Had dinner here the other night and it was very good. Staff were lovely, service was a little slow because of how busy they were but we didn’t mind and they proactively apologised.
Food was very tasty, portions sizes are a little small for the price (depending on what you order) but all well cooked.
Would recommend!

Ambient environment. Warm friendly service. Food beautifully presented. Good portion size. Good balance of flavours. Reasonably priced choice of wines. Highly recommend.

My partner and I have been to The Linden a few times now, however, this was the first time since it has been taken over by a new team. We have always loved staying here but was even more impressed this time around. Lovely changes were made to the outside seating area, amazing cocktails! The room was just as nice as before, if not better! Very clean and the staff are so lovely. Thank you for a fabulous stay. We will be sure to return.

Went to their bottomless brunch. We had a super time and the staff were very accommodating and friendly and drinks and food were nice. My one big gripe would be the portion size. I ordered the caesar salad and it was about 3 mouthfuls. They need to be mindful that this is advertised as brunch, thus the portion size should be filling.
