Fair range of tackle for an island but lacking in helpful advice on the day I visited!to get a permit.

Only wanted a fishing permit but all went smoothly. Also has a small, but excellent, fishing tackle section covering sea/fly/spinning.

I loved everything about this wee shop at the end of the main street. The owner was helpful and friendly, the selection of books was almost as though she stocked her shelves just for me. Rows upon rows of books on wildlife, foraging, baking, cooking, scottish life and plant life, history, folk tales, myths... And they do sell tackle and items for all your fishing needs as well!

It was very difficult not to buy more books than I did, but I absolutely loved this shop and if you love books, nature, and fishing, then this is the shop for you, too!

Visited this shop whilst on holiday in Mull. Found that there wasn't much to do on the island but fish so it definitely came in handy. A wide selection of fishing paraphernalia where you can get everything from rods to hooks. Not the cheapest of stores but then I couldn't find any competition so I guess that's why it gets away with it. Suited my needs though - even though I never caught anything!

You need to see the beautiful old counter and back fittings of this very well stocked and friendly place. It's like stepping back in time. If you want fishing gear, a book, a map or just a mooch about, this is the place I recommend.

Rather Disappointing
Main seller of Fishing Permits for Island
Reasonable stock of fishing gear for a Hebridean Island.
Disappointing as when one arrives somewhere new, usually the local tackle stockist is a wealth of information about where to fish, what is working/fishing well at the moment, etc. Unfortunately this wasn't the case, aside from taking my money for a few permits the seller was less than helpful with this.
Having spoken to other tourists it appears I wasn't the only one to receive this welcome.
Quite a contrast to other shop owners/workers in Tobermory.
