Bit far from the city but well organized. they have live chicken, sheep, cow and plants to sale in one place. you can visit Friday because there are special market organized in Friday. price is ok but you have to pay separately to cut the chicken.

Thicket is an amazing wedding venue and I cannot recommend them enough. What really makes Thicket so special is the wonderful team there. They were great from start to finish - knowledgable, always there to help and nothing was too much trouble. Anna was amazing and I cannot thank her enough for all her support and guidance. The venue itself is stunning and we loved being able to offer our guests rooms (all of which are finished to a very standard). Such a special place, don't think twice about getting married there!

Simply outstanding! We attended our friends’ wedding celebration here and we’re absolutely blown away by the venue, setting and service. The property and grounds are meticulously well-maintained but incredibly comfortable, and all staff were super helpful. Very dog-friendly! Super thankful to the team at Thicket Priory for facilitating the wonderful day our friends deserved.

Just Stunning!
I have performed at quite a few weddings at the amazing venue and I just love it! ????
The building is magnificent and the outside area and grounds are beautiful, you’ll definitely get some lovely photos!
Their team are extremely professional and always make sure every event is perfect.
I would 100% recommend Thicket Priory, it has that wow factor everyone is looking for! ????????

Dear Sir/Madam.

I was a Guest at your Location this Week-end and I would like to say that it was a fantastic experience.
The Staff were all very helpful and very efficient.
The Decor of the priory in both Modern and Period setting was Breath taking.
The Room i stayed in was one of the Garden Rooms, this Room was Very clean and the Bed was most comfortable.
The Food after the Wedding and at Breakfast was excellent.

My overall Experience could only be described as First Class and i would like to Thank all of the Staff at Thicket Priory for being First Rate and helping me to enjoy my stay.

Thicket Priory was the wedding venue of our dreams!! From the moment we got engaged and started to look at wedding venues we knew it was the one for us. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, from the beautifully decorated rooms to the quirky little touches such as the pantries and sowing rooms, it just has the most magical but homely feel. The grounds are equally as beautiful and our guests thoroughly enjoyed exploring these on the morning of the wedding. Anna and the team were another major factor in why this wedding venue is so wonderful. Anna is so warm, friendly and makes you feel totally at ease throughout the whole wedding planning process. The Thicket Priory team worked so hard throughout the whole wedding weekend and nothing was too much trouble. Our guests were blown away with Thicket Priory, and even though it is over 2 months since our wedding day, we are still receiving comments about how beautiful it was and how great all the staff were. Words cannot describe how perfect Thicket Priory is and we never wanted our wedding weekend to end!

What a truly magical, totally unique & stunning venue! When I Googled Top 10 wedding venues in York, the Priory was No 1. I scrolled no further! I knew straight away this was the one. If you want your fairly-tale wedding then this is your place. The house and grounds are so beautiful as well as 'very grand', 'outstanding' & 'classy' (quotes from guests!). They were blown away by how amazing the house is and how it looked, especially the ballroom & morning room all decorated. The Bridal Suite itself is out of this world. All of this coupled with the expertise and help from Anna & Becca then your day will be perfect. Becca looked after us from start to finish and the day ran like clockwork. Can't speak highly enough about this fabulous place and the people that run it. A day to remember. If I could do it all again I really would. Thanks you so so much for making our totally awesome. What a lovely place
I was here on a photo shoot using one of the great halls . The hall it self is amazing for wedding partys/ posh does / dinners extra or bedroom pictures as we used it. The chandeliers are amazing also the wood work on the ceiling. As we were here for the day I managed to walk around the grounds and what a walk that was. Big lake in the middle lots of good places for wedding pictures.
This place has it all .
Oh don't forget about the toilets the poshist I have ever been in.
Just amazing all round

This is the most majestic wedding venue! All 35 en suite rooms are finished to the highest standard the bar is decorated tastefully the 18 acres of grounds are oustanding although the Chapel was our personal favourite. After saving for 6 years we decided on a 3 day event with our 52 guests and planned our dream day here. Everyone of our guests said they had never attended such a beautiful wedding and it was truly amazing. I have not left 5 stars only due to our wedding day not being as entirely as perfect as we anticipated. There were some issues, no hot water for guests to shower in the garden rooms no drinking water availabe upon being told guests cannot bring their own water and a terrible issue with a staff member which when discussed with Anna brought her to tears not really what I expected on my wedding day. This is an elite venue and after all the money we had saved to spend here it upsets me that a year later I still reflect on my wedding day and how it could have been better but the venue itself was amazing and my guests really enjoyed it.
